- Palea Kameni - The next destination by boat is the island of Palea Kameni, known for its hot springs and famous mud baths, formed as a result of volcanic eruptions.
In the small bay of Agios Nikolaos, the water temperature varies from 30 to 35 degrees Celsius, as it continuously mixes with the normal sea currents. The waters, rich in sulfur, iron, and other metals from the volcano, are excellent for the skin, rheumatism, arthritis, and other physical ailments. Important Note: To reach Agios Nikolaos’ beach, strong swimming skills are essential.
The boat will remain here for about 30 minutes, allowing for a rejuvenating bath. Afterward, the tour will return to the old port of Fira.
