Unforgettable Fishing Trip with Pirate Captain Makis! - Our fishing trip in Santorini with Pirate Captain Makis and first mate Elias was one of the absolute highlights of our entire vacation! From the moment we stepped on board, Captain Makis made us feel welcome, safe, and ready for an adventure. They are genuinely nice guys—equal parts knowledgeable fisherman and entertaining “pirate”—and kept the experience relaxed, enjoyable, and full of laughs.
The fishing itself was incredible, but what made the trip truly special was the amazing meal he prepared right on the boat. He cooked the fish my husband caught along with some homemade tomato fritters, and it was honestly one of the best meals we had in Greece. Simple, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Eating a meal you just caught, overlooking the caldera, felt unforgettable.
Captain Makis’ passion for the sea, storytelling, and hospitality shines through every moment of the tour. Whether you’re an experienced angler or trying fishing for the first time, you’ll feel completely taken care of. We left with great memories, beautiful photos, and full hearts.

Gorgeous family fishing trip - We had the best time with Mikas and Ilias! They were knowledgeable and entertaining about both the islands and fishing. Our sons loved eating the fish they caught and of course learning all about the boat and all its cool features. Lunch was delicious and enjoyed in the most beautiful setting. Would absolutely recommend this for a lovely family day out on the water.

Private fishing and island tour - The captain and the mate are amazing. They gave me much more than a fishing experience. They gave me a complete education of all the islands and history along with a nice barbecue on the water with the fresh fish I caught and of course they brought fresh salad bread and other sides for me to enjoy. I would highly recommend this fishing tour 21 who loves the open waters to get a great history and education of the islands.

Exceptional trip. - Captain Makis and Ilias were fantastic. From guiding a great fishing experience where everyone who wanted to caught a fish to cooking a fantastic meal to telling the history of the island and the sights we were seeing, they were exceptional in every way. Captain Makis even watched our 11 month old while we had the delicious meal. Could not recommend the experience more highly for others visiting Santorini.

Best fishing tour ever! - We had an amazing experience with captain Makis and Elias! We had some cold beers, caught some awesome fish, got to eat our catch with an amazing lunch prepared by our captain and got a lot of history about the island. If you want to go fishing while in Santorini this is the tour. Will 100% do again if we come back to Santorini!

Do it! - Good times with Makis and Elias. They’ll rig up some poles, give you a cooler of beer, give you the aux cord and tell you to have at it. Whatever you catch you’re gonna eat that afternoon, and it will be delicious. They’ll take all the photos you want and have some great history and stories. If you like things, then you’ll like this.

Highlight of Santorini - Fantastic day spent on the water with Captain Makis, Elias and Makis' daughter Maria. We loved learning about Captain Makis' life on the seas and all about Santorini from Elias. The team was exceptional and the tour they provided, including fishing, lunch and snorkeling was wonderful. Would highly recommend a day on the water with them.

Open Sea Fishing with the Santorini Pirate - We had an incredible experience with Pirate Fishing Tours in Santorini! Even though the fish weren’t biting much that day, it was more than enough for a delicious BBQ that the crew cooked for us right on board—fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable.
Captain Makis, with over 30 years of fishing experience around Santorini, made the trip even more special by sharing stories from his life as a fisherman. His passion for the sea really shines through. The boat itself was custom-built, very comfortable, and perfectly suited for a relaxing day on the water.
The crew, Maria and Elias, were simply outstanding—funny, kind, knowledgeable about the island, and always making sure we had drinks in hand. They kept the mood light, the laughs going, and created such a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home.

Birthday Cruise - Captain Makis and first mate Elias made our Birthday cruise . They were extremely knowledgeable and great entertainment . We caught 12 fish ( one of which was later grilled) We then snorkeled and swum which was followed by a delicious lunch . We then headed home while the sun went down. Could not recommend this trip more highly .
