Hi, I was on the previous week's tour too. This time we brought 4 new people. Everyone loved the adventure and the fruit. thank you, once again!
As always, so many great varieties to try for the tasting, each fruit has a short description of characteristics and origin. I also love the Orchard tour and u-pick, we had a very informative guide on our latest tour.
Andy's fruits are amazing, and the ability to taste so many unusual and delicious varieties at peak ripeness is likely unique. I also love the "harvest walk". The ability to pick fruits from the tree is not so special in itself, but again the fruits are amazing, and the guides are very knowledgeable and interesting. For me it's a 45 minute drive to get to Andy's, but I've come to the tastings at least 4 times now. If I were closer I would even stop by the store to get fruits and vegetables -- there are usually 10 or more varieties of stone fruit (peach, plum, nectarine, of multiple types) as well as excellent tomatoes, cucumbers, melons, and more.
It was a well organized event: many varieties of fruits to taste, no big lines; very informative tours, lots of ripe fruits to pick.
Well organized. Interesting and educational.
The fruit tasting itself was very good. Many samples to taste. I enjoyed the display of the fruit along with some explanation of the variety being tasted.
Although the taste testing was a bit overwhelming because of the number of varieties of fruits, we were able to decide which peaches and nectarines we like best. The tour was very instructive and the tour leader pointed out the fruit trees that we were interested in (after we told him which fruit we liked best) and we were able to pick the fruit we wanted.
Thank you for having these very special events. It is hard work, but we appreciate coming and walking among the beautiful trees and having the pleasure of picking fruit. Thank you very much.
It was well organised, started with a good briefing and overview of the layout of the facility. There were so many varieties that were available to sample, many I have not heard of before. Handouts on Fruit tasting, Safety tips, Organic Farming were helpful. Looking back, I wish that there was an list (either online or on paper) of the varieties that were available for tasting, that way I could keep a record of the Fruit name and how I ranked it for Aroma, Sweetness, Astringency etc. The tour of the orchards also was great. After I had tasted so many fruits, I had compiled a my list of favourites that I wanted more of, but were not available on the orchard tour. Enjoyed the pick-your own at the Event. Improvement to consider, perhaps, a chalk board to list which varieties were available that day. Since Andy's doesn't usually do a pick-your own, this event was something that I really looked forward to.
The fruit tasting was well organized and the fruit was delicious. Had a great time.
Appreciate the tasting and guide, a bit disappointed there was so little fruit available to pick but overall enjoyed the day, thanks.
Excellent day fruit tasting with my adult daughter. The docent was knowledgeable, and the fruit was perfect. I bought way too many pluots and plums, so i will be freezing some. I also loved and bought some beautiful free-form pies and dried apricots.
What a splendid experience! The tasting was educational. The walk and u-picking was fun. The grounds were beautiful.

Awesome learning experience for us!
I love the huge and amazing variety of stone fruits there are to taste.
It was amazing how many different varieties exist, and how differently they tasted. It was a lot of fun tasting and picking. I am recommending this event to all our friends - we look forward to participating again next year.
"Unique" is an over- and oft mis-used adjective, but describes this event to perfection. Where else is it possible to not only find more than 50 varieties of spectacular stone fruits grown to perfection and picked at their peak...and then have to chance to taste each! My daughter and I kept marveling at well the whole thing was organized. Andy's is a regional (and maybe national) treasure.
Andy Mariana graciously provided a rare opportunity for us to become acquainted with his famous and legendary agricultural gem. The event was a treasure trove of regional history, a local close-up example of prime fruit growing agricultural practices and processes all wrapped up in a culinary tasting extravaganza of tree-ripened fruit. It was educational, inspirational, delicious and nutritious. How can you beat that?! Thank you so much.
The tasting was great but the vast majority of what we tasted was not in the orchard. It would be helpful to indicate which fruit is currently available and, for the fruit that is not currently available, when it was in season. That way if there was a particular fruit we liked, we could know when to find it.
We really enjoyed learning about and sampling all the varieties of fruit that you grow! Thank you!
Absolutely fantastic experience. I wish you guys did this more often.
The fruit was outstanding. I got the joy of going on tour with Andy, something I really wished for. As a Master Gardener I so enjoyed asking him questions.
What fun to taste 120+ quality varieties of peaches, nectarines, plums and pluots! I compare this to the one variety you might find at Safeway, hard, unripe and overpriced for what you are getting. And, they sell veggies! I will do a little more work to visit and buy Andy's veggies and fruits from now on.
