Fantastic experience - Fantastic experience. Lindy was a treasure. I will never drink a glass of wine the same again. Wine was also fabulous. Wish I could take more home.

Italian Masterclass with Michael Manners - so good. - We were lucky to have been entertained by Michael Manners once again for the Italian cuisine cooking class. Michael is as always professional and entertaining with his glorious cooking. With an intimate luncheon for 12, we had a fabulous afternoon with complementary wines to match. We were also lucky to get a behind the scenes tour of the wine packing/storage shed. Loved, loved, loved it all. Thank you Ross Hill Winery and the Masterclass with Michael Manners

Ross Hill Experience - While visiting the amazing Orange region of New South Wales my wife and I took part in a tour organised by Country Food Trails. The first step was to visit the Ross Hill Winery and to go behind then scenes to view the winery operations and then to taste some of the local products. The winery is beautifully appointed and presented. We were met by Isabel who should be the poster girl for the Australian wine industry. She is a wine industry professional with loads of experience and charm. She took us through the operations of the winery and her deep knowledge was evident from the start. We got to see the barrel rooms, the pressing machinery while absorbing a host of information on the different types of wines grown in this diverse region. The local border collie also kept us amused with her antics. We were then provided with a flight of wines for tasting guided by Belinda who is an expert on the wines and the histories associated with them. I tasted a range of red wines and ended up buying a sample bottle of each as they were all delicious. All in all, this was an excellent start to our farm tour of her Orange region and I would strongly recommend it to those looking for a cool climate wine experience in a well appointed setting.

The Almost Tour - A group of 8 were booked into the winery Monday 28th July. Weather was abysmal and we arrived 45 minutes earlier than our tour. The winery went to the trouble of opening at 9.15 instead of 10 am in order to accommodate us. We decided not to do the tour and the owners very kindly volunteered our costs back, which they did not have to do. I hope we can do the tour at a later date. It is a beautiful drive out to the vineyards just 15 minutes out of Orange.

A great opportunity if you’re interested in knowing more about how wine is made. - A great chance to see behind the scenes. Jess was really knowledgeable and learning about the carbon credits and offsets was interesting. Would be nice to get a special tasting straight from a tank or a barrel or to watch a video of the bottling process happening in your shed. Even a video or photos telling the story….of the harvest too… since we don’t get to see that part. Chelsea was a fantastic host for our wine tasting- funny, personable, knowledgeable and doing a great job!

A lovely boutique winery experience - The tour was interesting - learnt a lot about production and storage of wines and how different types are made, thanks to the charismatic nth-generation owner. The family-run aspect of the business gave it a lovely feel; the daughters, home from Uni on the weekend, were particularly friendly and very knowledgeable about their family's winery. Only grievance was that on the TripAdvisor app, there was no option to purchase a cheese board or platter, which is essential when downing the equivalent of a couple of glasses of wine and then hopping in a car! Would also love to have had the opportunity to have lunch there - even just a cafe would be great; would also further loosen visitors' wallets! Nevertheless, it was a gorgeous morning.
