The absolute highlight of our honeymoon in Kefalonia! - Wonderfully personal tour of these family run vineyards. Julia was a fantastic guide, providing in depth description of how she and her father grow the grapes and olives. Followed by a tour of the old and new processes for creating the (delicious) olive oil and wine! From lunch in the garden of there beautiful family home, to a wine tasting at the winery overlooking spectacular views across the valley. This was the highlight of our honeymoon in Kefalonia. Julia was not only a great guide for the tour of the vineyards but also doubled as our own personal history guide for the island. There seemed such a personal touch for the 4 hour experience, from picking us up at the front door of our Hotel in Lourdas to dropping us back there after the tour, and a good few wines later! Overall, if you are in Kefalonia, I cannot recommend this enough. You will not be disappointed. This is one we will remember fondly and we hope to return again one day in the future!

great way to experience the island - Amazing! Julia is a fantastic hostess and guide. You will literally visit her family's olive farm and vineyard and be served in her father's home. Authentic rural Greek life all set in a stunningly beautiful valley. The tour continues to the local winery where we were introduced to wonderful wines. Hidden gems are the best description. The rose and dessert wines were top notch (4 plus on vivino) and everything was at least good. Thank you Julia for a wonderful day!

Great wines and an awesome host - You will taste great wines (and buy some because they’re delicious) at the main Kefalonian cooperative Orealios Gaea. But first you will sample local snacks and the first wine at her family’s house.
Julia, your hospitable and knowledgeable guide, comes from a wine and olive producing family that has farmed the land for generations. This is what makes this tour special; you’ll walk in their fields, learn how it is produced, and hear much more about local history and culture sitting at her family’s table.

Most wonderful wine experience - From start to finish this tour was nothing but AMAZING!! Julia is a wonderful lady who communicated with me from the booking was made and even on the morning of the trip! Seeing her families farming land and learning how they harvest the vines and olives by hand extremely hard work however Julia seeks so much reward doing it with her family. We were welcomed into her family’s home for a delish and refreshing snack, definitely will be having this back home. And onwards we went to the winery, to try 8 wonderful wines we took our time had great laugh with Julia and the other guests. Julia has a fantastic sense of humour and extremely hard working individual. Thank you for having us!!

Fantastic afternoon - What an amazing experience. Julia picked us up from our slightly remote apartment, and drove us to the vineyards, alongside another couple. She explained all the processes for both wine and olive farming before taking us to her family home in fragata, for a lovely lunch and glass of wine. She was the perfect hostess, with a great sense of humour and a mind full of knowledge and facts. We then went to the orealis winery, where we tried 8 wines, and were told the histories of them. We purchased a few and were then driven back to our apartment. All in all, a really lovely afternoon, with great company. Thank you Julia - I am not sure where TLW got the idea to give you a 1* review based on you being ill, but I would say that they were the ones who lost out, not you, as we would do it all again if we returned to Kefalonia ( and I'm sure we will).
