The best way to explore the Sacred Valley is by bike, enjoying the scenery around Maras town and visiting Moray and the Salt Mines while riding along a pleasant trail. Our tours begin in Ollantaytambo, or we can pick you up from your hotel in the Sacred Valley upon request at no extra cost (except from Pisaq Valley or Cusco). The guide and driver will be waiting for you and will accompany you throughout the tour. With all the necessary equipment and bikes loaded in the car, we will head towards Moray to visit the archaeological site before starting our bike ride. This route offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers. The guide will make stops at various points for you to rest and take amazing photos. We will reach the pre-colonial village of Maras and continue biking to the Salt Mines, a beautiful pre-Inca architectural wonder where you can see locals producing salt for both local and international markets.
- May be operated by a multi-lingual guide
- It is not necessary or compulsory to return to Ollantaytambo, if you have to continue your journey to Cusco, we will arrive to Urubamba and I board a car for you to continue your trip to Cusco

Jose is a truly special guide. His passion for Inca culture is inspiring. One day was far too short—next time for sure! - We had an amazing mountain biking experience with our guide Jose. He is a true professional with extensive experience and an impressive cultural background. He has an answer to everything, whether it’s about biking, local history, or Peruvian culture.
The route was very well chosen, varied, and well adapted to the conditions. We explored beautiful trails with breathtaking views, right in the heart of authentic rural Peru, far from the crowds.
A well-organized, authentic, and memorable experience. Highly recommended! 🚵♂️🇵🇪

Awesome family activity - Great guides, lots of information and timely and interedting. The biking was fun, some uphill which was fun and lots of cruising. Enjoyed a bag lunch brought by the guides. Beautiful scenery, and a great way to see tourist destinations not sitting in a car for hours

Very fun!! Good adrenaline rush :) - This was such a unique way to tour sacred valley! We got to see parts of the valley we never would have if on a tour bus and biked thru the small Maras town where we got some Peruvian Chicha! Our guide was SO knowledgeable and had very good English and was a great conversationalist. I thought the biking was fun, my sister was a little scared on some of the unpaved downhill so she walked her bike but Jose was very helpful for her and gave her tips on how to get down the hill easier. The trip was so fun! I just wish we got some snacks because the tour mentioned snacks included lol but it was ok we just worked up a big appetite for a late lunch :)

A great morning out! - Really enjoyed this. It's always hard to gauge route difficulty, but if you've done any sort of mountain biking you shouldn't have any problem with this. Plus, if you've not, just take it easy or there's no shame in pushing (down or uphill!). Amazing scenery and Jose and crew are fantastic- friendly and helpful. Could've done with another trip but time constraints said no to us booking one more.
A great way to get out and about and definitely the best way to visit these sites.

Fantastic Experience!!! - No words can describe how amazing this tour was. JOSE is the best tour guide we ever met!!! From the first minute you talk to Jose you feel that you are in good hands, he is very accommodating, friendly, extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Incas culture, but not only, talk to him about anything really, you will be amazed how much he knows , he is one of the people who changes the world for a better place! He knows how and he will share it with you 😊
Biking experience was phenomenal, this was an intermediate level biking as Jose explained, but we were mountain biking for the first time and it was totally doable. On some parts of the road you can walk the bike if you don’t feel comfortable riding, but for the most part it was comfortable ride with amazing sceneries!
Moray and Salt mines were both great . Again thanks to Jose, I think he can make any place super interesting.
Overall it was 10 star experience 🙃, everything was just great, communication, transportation, the price and of course the tour guide!!! Thank you for making our day unforgettable !
P. S. first time writing review in my life. Again this is how thankful I am to Jose, I know it’s important for him, but I must notice he never asked for it.

Awesome day biking in the mountains! - We had a blast on this tour! Jose Manuel is one of the best humans i’ve ever met! Very knowledgeable and passionate about his heritage. His English is fantastic and created a very fun day for us. We plan to return again next year and do a different tour with him. Thanks again, Brother!

So much fun-! Very interesting and informative - I booked the Abra Malaga tour but we did the Maras and Moray tour instead. My husband and I are active but this was a humbling experience- it was out of our comfort zones in a good way! Our guide Jose was so kind and patient with us novice mountain bikers! But above and beyond that, he was so passionate about explaining the sites and the history. He has a true love and respect for the history and the land. I really enjoyed this part of the tour. It’s such an affordable option and you get so much out of it. We really enjoyed our day with Jose. One of the best of our trip. Thank you to Jose and our driver!

fun , but too expensive for what it was worth - The mountain biking itself was really fun—mostly downhill with some uphill sections. The track was muddy due to rain the night before, but our guide, Yuri, was incredibly helpful and assisted us through the muddy sections while ensuring our safety at all times. I highly recommend Yuri as a tour guide.
However, there were additional transportation fees from Cusco to the mountain biking area that we were not informed about in advance. The cost was very expensive, USD $35 each way per person. There were also multiple entry fees for the Sacred Valley and the salt mines, so make sure to bring cash in Peruvian soles.
Overall, the tour was very pricey and not worth what we paid, especially as no breakfast or lunch was included like other tours. Our transport driver, was very nice at the beginning of the journey but became somewhat rude when we paid the USD $70 transportation fee in Peruvian soles instead of US dollars. Make sure you double check for extra transportation fees.
