DAY 1 – Transfer from Cusco to Aguas Calientes

Ollantaytambo - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Cusco, typically around 4:00 am, for a transfer by van to the Ollantaytambo train station.

Aguas Calientes - Travel by tourist train from Ollantaytambo to the village of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu village. Upon arrival, a team member will be waiting to accompany guests to the Ministry of Culture office in the village, where tickets to Machu Picchu can be purchased. Afterward, guests will have the rest of the day free to relax at the hotel they have reserved.

Exploring Aguas Calientes (Optional Activities)

Aguas Calientes - Guests can enjoy a leisurely morning without the rush of an early start. Optional activities include visiting Mandor Falls, exploring the wild butterfly breeding center, visiting the Machu Picchu site museum, or enjoying a relaxing soak in the village’s thermal pools.

Machu Picchu - Cusco

Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu - In the morning, guests will head to the bus station to ascend to the archaeological park for a guided tour lasting at least two hours. After the tour, they will descend back to the village, enjoy free time for lunch, and in the afternoon, take the train back to Ollantaytambo and then return to Cusco.

Cusco - The day concludes with arrival in Cusco in the evening, depending on the train schedule, approximately between 8 - 9 pm.
