Bicycle from Yanamayo - Ocobamba

Ollantaytambo - Guests will be picked up from their hotel at 5:00 am. The journey will proceed by car through the Sacred Valley, passing Urubamba and Ollantaytambo. Breakfast will be enjoyed in Ollantaytambo before heading up the Patacancha valley.

Ocobamba - After a 2-hour drive, the group will reach the Yanamayo pass at 4300 meters above sea level. The descent will begin on a road flanked by mountains with typical Andean highland vegetation. As the altitude decreases, the ecosystem will transition from highlands to jungle, revealing banana, orange, coffee, and cocoa trees. The descent will conclude in Ocobamba around 3:00 pm, followed by a 1-hour lunch break.

Quillabamba - Post-lunch in Ocobamba, the journey continues by car to Quillabamba, lasting approximately 5 hours. The climate is warm and tropical. At 8:30 pm, dinner will be served, and guests will rest at the hotel.

Quillabamba Santa Teresa - Cocalmayo Hot Springs

Aguas Termales Cocalmayo de Santa Teresa - The day begins at 8:00 am with breakfast and a good coffee. A 45-minute car ride to Cochapampa follows. At 10:00 am, bicycles will be prepared for a tour through the Quillabambina jungle. The guide will make stops to sample fruit and observe coffee plantations, and if in season, coca plantations.

At 1:00 pm, the group will arrive in Santa Teresa for a 1-hour lunch in a hut. The descent continues to the Cocalmayo hot springs, where a relaxing hot water bath by the Vilcanota River awaits. The night will be spent in the village of Santa Teresa.

Hydroelectric Hike to Aguas Calientes

Hidroeléctrica - After breakfast at 9:00 am, transportation will take the group to the hydroelectric plant, the starting point for the hike to Aguas Calientes. The car ride takes about 1 hour. The hike begins around 10:30 am.

Aguas Calientes - The hike to Aguas Calientes, located in Machu Picchu, starts at 10:30 am and lasts approximately 3 hours. The trail runs alongside the railway line, with a 425-meter positive and 243-meter negative slope, making it an easy trail. The beautiful ecosystem, with tropical trees, will accompany the adventure. Arrival in Aguas Calientes is around 2 pm, followed by lunch and a free afternoon.

Visit Machu Picchu

Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu - On the final and most anticipated day, the group will visit Machu Picchu. The guide will escort guests to the bus station at 7 am. The bus will ascend the mountain, offering spectacular views bordered by the Vilcanota River. Upon reaching the top, tickets will be checked for entry into Machu Picchu.

As guests explore its mysterious streets, the guide will share the rich history of Machu Picchu, with ample opportunities for photos and videos of this world wonder. After a two-hour visit, the group will return by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch while awaiting the train.

Cusco - The return to Cusco is scheduled for 2:45 pm. A vehicle will be ready to transfer guests back to their hotel, concluding the tour.

Discover a new way to travel to one of the wonders of the modern world, Machu Picchu. We will start our trip descending by bike from the Yanamayo pass, a place that will allow us to observe the Andean landscape of Cusco and we will arrive to Ocobamba, a tropical and warm area.

On day 2 we will continue our journey by bicycle through the lower jungle of Cusco from the town of Cochapampa to the hot springs of Coclamayo, where we will relax the body in its medicinal waters and observe the agriculture of the people of Quillabamba as we descend by bicycle.

Day 3, we will walk from the hydroelectric plant to Aguas Calientes through a trail near the Vilcanota river and full of amazing landscapes bordering the lower part of the Huayna Picchu mountain.

On day 4, we will finally get to know Machu Picchu and discover its history and the mysteries that it still hides to this day in a 3 hour tour. We will return to Cusco on a magnificent train ride.
