Phillips' Photography Tours did a great job. Tully was a great guide and helped us get wonderful photos. Being able to go into places non guided people can't go offered many more photo opps that created a much better guided tour. Thank you Phillips' Photography Tours for a wonderful experience. Our guide Tully was great. He knew all the best photo spots and also the best angles to use. We did the Grand Tour which included a trip into Mystery Valley which included a number of great locations that you don't see if you stay only in Monument Valley. It was a great day of photography and I highly recommend it.
Unsurpassed, impressive. The guide took us to so many places, most of them empty of other people ! The private visit to Mystery Canyon was extraordinary. I strongly recommend this tour.
Fantastic tour and great guide. You likely will have the option of open or closed transportation. I chose closed and the vehicle was comfortable and well maintained. I recommend closed unless you want to be "eating dust". I saw several other groups with a variety of companies throughout the day in open vehicles, most looked uncomfortable and all seemed like dust was a major issue (some groups had bandanas or "masks"). I understand why an open vehicle would have its appeal... you can see plenty from a closed vehicle and the best sites are stops where you are getting out in any event and of course an open vehicle doesn't have air conditioning.
Very satisfied! Saw the best places. Awesome! Driver was great too. Felt save and comfortabel.
Photographer or not, book this tour. We took the full day tour and Toule was our guide. We learned so much about the area and the Navajo culture. He took us to some wonderful places for good shots. He is an excellent driver over this terrrain and it was nice to have a private tour in an enclosed vehicle. This tour and Toule’s willingness to share his knowledge of the area and his family’s traditional ways were the highlight of our trip.
My brother and I were very pleased with the tours of Monument Valley and Mystery Canyon. We found our tour guide to be very knowledgeable and helpful. We also were pleased by his sense of humor, and we felt very comfortable with his driving capabilities. Of course, the scenery was magnificent, and we appreciated being able to see so much in a relatively short time.
We had a great time and covered lots of territory during our tour.
Carl was a great guide, taking us to places off the beaten track for some fantastic photo shots, advising on best angles and lens choice. He also provided great insight into the culture and beliefs of the Navajo.
Tooley was exceptional. Knowledgeable, helpful, and a wry sense of humor. We particularly appreciated his commitment to, and explanations of, traditional tribal values and extended family traditions.
Highly informative, exciting, fascinating and relaxed tour. Very sympathic guide.
We had an excellent experience with Phillips. Tulee (not sure of spelling unfortunately) was an excellent guide. We did the all day tour of both monument valley and an area outside the monument with outstanding geology, terrain and ruins. Well worth the price. Highly recommend.
Tully was a superb driver and guide. He knew all the spots, all the angles, and a great deal about the history of the region. I gave you a plug on my blog today, https://saintlouismodailyphoto.blogspot.com/2017/09/why-people-come-here.html .
Carl was very knowledgeable about the area and the Navajo people. Really enjoyed his stories. Elliott who done the second part of the tour was great really enjoyed his song in the big hogan.
We chose the Grand Tour to see what we had not seen two years ago The loop in Monument Valley is not very interesting We are very amazed by the visit in Mystery Valley, to my opinion, it's the most beautiful area With a guide it's a wonderful experience, now I differently feel this area The most important is not to make pictures... Thank you for this day
The guide was very knowledgeable, understanding of our medical issues, overall, just a very enjoyable experience with no negative issues at all.
Elliot King was our guide. He made the whole day a magical one for the two of us! Monument Valley and Mystery Valley were very different and both wonderful. He told us stories of the gods and the creatures and the names of land masses we would see along the way. He also shared stories of his family and took us to meet his aunt Effie and his mother, Priscilla. He talked about the day-to-day traditions of his people. He loves to sing and did so...beautifully. I had been to the Valley before but seeing it all through the eyes of a person who is so proud of this land made it very special. Thank you.
