The food was wonderful, it didn't disappoint but the tour guide seemed very new at her job. She was very kind and in a happy mood, but she relied to heavily on dates and facts instead of webbing a narrative of the stories. She will become excellent, but needs to attend a few different food tours to get the feel of the stories. Overall we were very happy with our tour and will recommend it to others.

Our guide Marty was exceptional. She was a highlight. Dustbowl - excellent selection of beers and they provided good recommendations. Although there was no defined ‘pairing’ both the beer and the tacos were such great quality the whole experience was a 5/5. Revival - Ice cream was local and unique 5/5 Epsilon - the piney white wine was not to my taste but I did appreciate the thought to pairing it with the hollandaise and it was great to try something new. This stop only got a 3/5 from us because the food was lacking. On a food tour I don’t want a large plate of salad and beans. I want quality over quantity and this restaurant tried to make up for lack of quality buy just shovelling piles of beans at us. Paluca trattoria - 5/5 for lobster ravioli and wine pairing. Paris bakery - 5/5 for almond croissant, and a perfect way to kick off the tour. Melville tavern - 2/5 they offered us ‘wine or beer’ when we walked in and it tasted like they just chose what ever they had open that was cheapest. The beer was gross, I could not even drink it, and we both like beer. The food was a slice of ‘upscale meatloaf’ , although it was better than my mothers, it’s still just meatloaf and we are not fans.
