• Firestick Pottery Studio - The experience begins with a guided tour of the studio and gallery, where participants explore various types of pottery, visit the kilns, and learn about the pottery-making process. A brief demonstration of pottery throwing is provided. Following this, visitors put on aprons, take their seats at the wheels, and, with plenty of hands-on assistance, start crafting their own pots! Each participant can expect to create 4 or 5 pieces.

For safety reasons, all workshops are now exclusively PRIVATE for each group. Whether your group consists of one person or up to eight, you will have the classroom to yourselves, without sharing it with other students.

Ojai boasts a century-long tradition in ceramics. Our studio, situated just a mile from the city center, is nestled in nature, amidst a fruit orchard.

We serve as a creative hub for many renowned artists in the Ojai Valley. Guests are welcome to observe potters at work and can “try their hand” at various techniques. After crafting their pottery, they can opt to pay a small fee for our team to trim, glaze, and high-fire their creations. This “finishing” process takes approximately three weeks. Visitors also have the option to return and glaze their own pieces at no additional cost. Plus, we offer shipping services to deliver your creations anywhere in the country.
