Too many people there. It was too noisy due to the amount of people. Every room or area we went in already had multiple people in it.

The location is great. Loved the building itself. Staff was friendly and informative. The reason for my rating is because the staff said they would try to limit people just walking around talking and being obnoxious yet some of the staff were the ones co tribute for towards this. Too many people caused my audio to be really containmited.

Our tour guide Laura didn't seem to know much history about the reformatory. We had several members in our tour group that had been there before and felt she was in a hurry and didn't tell us many facts or highlights as other guides do. Many in our group complained that that part of the tour was a waste of time because she couldn't answer any questions. We really did enjoy our time walking thru on our own but felt that with the large number of people there for the tour we really never got a chance to be anywhere where there wasn't a bunch of people or where we could sit quietly without hearing other groups or have others walking through. It really diminishes the chance to hear any possible activity We felt it would have been so much better with a much smaller group even if we had to go for a shorter time. Also I know a lot of people use their camera on their cell phone as I did myself, but there were several people who didn't turn it on silent and we were hearing their phone ring, them talking on their phone or playing music on it.
