09:00 - Half an hour after departing from the hotel and leaving Ushuaia behind, travelers will encounter stunning glacial valleys, forests, and peat bogs along Route 3 heading north.

10:00 - Journey on Route 3 towards the Andes Mountains crossing
As the altitude increases towards the Garibaldi Pass, the view of the Andes Mountains becomes more breathtaking.

10:30 - Garibaldi Pass: Scenic view of Escondido Lake
At the Andes crossing via the Garibaldi Pass, travelers will have their first glimpse of Lago Escondido, which will be explored from south to north. Along the shores of Lake Escondido, a new environment awaits exploration before venturing into the forest en route to Lake Fagnano.

12:00 - Off-road adventure (through the forest)
This segment through the forest towards Lake Fagnano’s shore is best experienced firsthand! The off-road journey continues along the extensive shoreline of this vast lake, and where the shoreline ends, crossing the lake becomes necessary! Several stops will allow visitors to discover hidden gems and enjoy stunning views of Lake Fagnano, historically known as Lake Cami (also Kami or Kahmi). The stops along the nearly 100-kilometer-long Lake Fagnano are delightful, offering a breathtaking experience of an ancient and magical landscape.

13:00 - Arrival at the refuge
Located just 80 kilometers from Ushuaia, the tranquil primitive forest welcomes visitors just in time for lunch. It’s time to unwind in a peaceful spot in the woods near the lake. In the cozy refuge, a meal of Choripán (grilled chorizo sandwich), grilled steaks with assorted salads, dessert, and drinks will be served. Excellent vegetarian and gluten-free options are available by reservation.

14:45 - Begin the return journey
After a delightful and relaxed meal in a fantastic and serene setting, the vehicles will be conveniently located a few steps away, next to the lake. The return trip to the city offers another chance to admire the Andes mountain range and the tranquil valleys near Ushuaia.
