Fantastic intro to the Everglades! - Super full-day tour. We saw more alligators on the airboat ride than we could count and the ride was great. The boat ride in the 10,000 islands was really interesting. We didn't see much wildlife, but the bottlenose dolphins were entertaining. And the trip was tied together by our driver/expedition leader Addy that led us on a short trek to see an alligator on her nest. Fun day!!!

Most authentic way to... - Most authentic way to experience the Everglades, didn't feel commercialized. My boys (age 5 and 8) loved it! Saw so many alligators and other wildlife!

Engaging Florida adventure!!! - This experience was super fun! BIG shout out to Addy for being super knowledgeable about Florida’s ecosystems, history, geography, and the many birds I got to see and photographed! I especially loved the short hike at the 10,000 Islands. We got to see so many bird species up close.

Water levels are critical - Through no fault of the operator, my experience was disappointing. The drought and flood control measures mean that water levels are 70% down as could also be seen by the height of platforms above the water on the airboat ride, which was restricted to the man-made canal. So if your main reason for coming across the world to Miami to see wetlands and its wildlife like in the documentaries, do your due diligence regarding the state of the water levels. The owner advised a few days prior there'd be no wet hike for this reason and has kindly promised a price reduction but the drought isn't new and my plans were already made. The colourful character who operates the boat was entertaining but left a sad but feasible take on the future of the manatees. You expect a guide to be friendly and knowledgeable which Lindsay is, and she did the best she could in the circumstances, but I think it would have been appropriate for the extra passenger to forfeit the front seat for keen photographers who've spent hard earned cash and a precious day looking for an opportunistic photo through the window. I try to support local businesses and under better conditions this would be a 5 star tour for me.
