Fresh water, salt air, and zero crowds. Jamaica looks good on me. - There is something undeniably cinematic about Dunn's River Falls. Standing at the base where the fresh river water meets the Caribbean Sea, you realize why this is the crown jewel of Ocho Rios. For the discerning traveler, my advice is simple: Avoid the cruise ship crowds. I arrived via private charter just as the gates opened at 8:30 AM, and having the limestone tiers to myself was a spiritual experience. The water is crisp, the limestone provides a natural (and surprisingly chic) staircase, and the lush canopy overhead offers the perfect dappled lighting for your feed.

Dunns River Falls and Blue Hole - Our family of 4 had a blast today at Dunn’s River Falls and the Blue Hole. Our guide Sunshine and our driver Godfrey took great care of us. We didn’t realize there was a third option to our tour/tubing so that was a little frustrating to find out after the fact but we ended up finding lunch nearby while we waited for the rest of our tour to finish up the tubing. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the everything about our trip! Can’t wait to come back!

Best Waterfall phenomenon I have ever seen! - Everyone told us to go to Dunns River falls, and we didn't the last two times we were in Jamaica because we were on the other side of the island. This time we were in Ocho Rios Port, so the travel was super quick and easy, but I would have drove 8 hours to see these falls! WOW. What an amazing natural phenomenon! The guide kept the whole group moving and safe the whole time, although maybe going a little quicker than expected, but he made sure everyone succeeded and felt safe. Blue Hole - was probably even better! Lots of places to jump off and do a cannon ball!! And the guides here were amazing! The young guys really love what they do here and brought the Jamaican vibes!

Such a cool experience! - So much fun! Our tour guides and drivers were great - they shared so much information and were really funny! We had amole time at both spots!

Fun day!! - Bring water shoes. Wear a swim suit that fits well. You should be in good health and your fitness level should be good to climb a challenging waterfall.

Brilliant Tour, Would Recommend - Very good tour, well organised and worth the money. The staff were very accommodating and looked after us. Water shoes are required for this tour however if needed they will take you to a shop so you can purchase these.

We had an amazing time on... - We had an amazing time on this tour. Both places are must-sees. This was my first time on an “unofficial” cruise excursion but couldn’t tell the difference. Everything was well-organized and went smoothly, and I’d argue it was better than the cruise offerings. Bring plenty of cash for all of your guides- they earn 100% of it! (Some people may think they are “pushy” reminding you about tipping, but this is their livelihood and they definitely earn every penny you want to give.) We had 2 guides at Blue Hole, 2 at the falls, plus our guide and driver from the bus. There was also a photographer/videographer at each place; you could buy from them at the end for $30-40. We didn’t bring enough cash with us but were able to use Apple pay for a lot of things, and able to tip our guide + driver at the end with a credit card. (A lot of vendors accepted Venmo/PayPal/Cash App/Zelle as well.) Everyone along the way was so lovely. Highly recommend! Shoutout to our bus guide Sunshine for keeping us entertained and smiling.

A beautiful walk up amazing waterfalls! - My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the falls, the guide was very helpful and professional and ensured our safety. Great fun, so beautiful (and refreshing!). Get there early to beat the crowds.

Bring real water shoes! - If you are considering this trip, make sure to pack "real" water shoes with a good grip. If you think crocs are ok, you're wrong. The first stop on the tour is a shop where they tell you that real water shoes are a must, or you won't be able to take part.
