Great Ride! - Gilbert was amazing! I had an issue with my ATV and I had to dial the number for recovery and he came quickly and was able to help me out with a new ATV replacement. The dunes was so much fun! Be aware of the zones, if you are just starting out, I recommend zone 1. Zone 2 even may be too much for a beginner. I was able to ride zones 1-3. I stayed away from zone 4, I don't know what that's like. I would totally go this again!

I Loved it . Was always on my bucket list. - You can drive at your own pace. The landscape is beautiful. The ocean and sand dunes are quite amazing.

It was too much fun. Sun... - It was too much fun. Sun Buggie is a great company to rent from. They’re information and helpful when it comes to first timers. I’ll definitely be coming back with family & friends.

Great time, got stuck but ok - My kids and I had a great time. We did get stuck by going into a valley and did not have the lentil to get out. Brian came quickly and got us towed out. The added benefit is that he did not make me feel like getting stuck and let my kids know it happens often.

Get a UTV not a buggy - Was overall a super fun experience and would highly recommend it to anyone. We had one group that rented a 4-person dune buggy, and another group that rented a 4-person UTV, and the UTV was hands-down the better option. Don't even bother with the old-school dune buggies. It was a loud, slow, super-bumpy ride, and then it broke down and wouldn't start and we had to get towed back. Meanwhile, the group with the UTV was zipping around with no problems having a blast. Everyone we dealt with was awesome and we still had a great time.

Go elsewhere or save your money. - Scruffy place. Underpowered buggies, not well maintained. The staff were friendly, the crowd rowdy, the vehicles marginal, the location a dirty mess.

Bad Operator, Bad Equiptment, Bad Service - I really wanted SunBuggy Rentals to be a fun part of my trip, but it turned out to be one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve ever had with a rental/tour company. They were short staffed, and while we were required to show up one hour BEFORE our start (with many threats in the contract of no refunds if late etc), they did not get us into a car until about 2hours AFTER hour scheduled start time. We had a whole day planned after, and their delay forced us to change our later plans. The equipment was clearly neglected. The steering on one of the buggies we rented broke down within 5 minutes of being out in the dunes and they did not seem to care. We put that driver in one of the other vehicles after they told us they would not come for 20-30 mins. Communication was non‑existent. We had to call multiple times, send several emails, and yet no one was available or willing to provide help. All of that just to be handed excuses or told someone might contact us “within 48 hours.” They gave us a very small refund, and were so rude, the entire time. Also, the “safety” or “service” videos and orientations felt hollow — delays kept creeping in, their staff seemed disorganized, and their promises, like making up lost time, turned out to be meaningless. What could have been a fun adventure turned into a waste of money and time, leaving me frustrated and angry. If you’re considering booking with SunBuggy, take this as a warning: unless you’re okay with uncertainty, delays, and being denied refunds even when things go badly wrong, you’re very likely going to end up regretting it. I can’t recommend them—save your money and go with someone who stands behind their service.
