fun and informative - we are three adults who totally enjoyed this informational class taught by Lucy. Learning all about the cacao process fascinating. And the hands on aspect made us better appreciate what goes into creating such a delicious treat. Highly recommended.

Mind-blowing experience covering history, culture, and tasting! - This was one of the best food experiences I've had in years! Lucy was brilliant and really knew her material: I had no idea there were so many different varieties of cacao! We learned a ton of truly fascinating information, and one of my favorite parts was getting to really taste and experience the difference between the different varietals and how they're processed. Absolutely incredible, and can't wait to come back next time!

Chocolate experience. - I booked this class for my wife, who loves chocolate, and I must say we both absolutely loved it! From start to finish, it was hands-on, informative, and genuinely fun. We began by learning about the origins of cacao, its various types, and its cultural significance. Then we actually roasted, peeled, and ground the beans ourselves — it was incredible to see (and smell!) how the raw cacao transformed step by step into real chocolate. The instructor was passionate and knowledgeable, explaining each stage clearly and sharing stories about cacao traditions and sustainable sourcing. I appreciated the balance between education and creativity — we even got to make our very own hot chocolate. By the end, I had a new appreciation for the craft and hard work behind every piece of chocolate. It’s a great activity for couples, families, or anyone who loves food and culture. Highly recommend this class.

We really enjoyed the... - We really enjoyed the class. Very educational, and you get to make your own chocolate drink at the end. I would say we spent about 3 hours: about 1 hr of ‘class’, 1 hr tasting, 1 hr making the chocolate drink.

Chocolate!!! - This was such a wonderful and intimate experience to learn about chocolate and create your own memories. Our teacher, Martin, was informative, engaging, and had an incredible wealth of knowledge on a subject I knew almost nothing about. This would be an excellent option for families or couples looking to enhance their Oaxacan experience.

Learn about cacao and really enjoy it! - If you really want to learn about the history of cacao and how chocolate is made, this is the place to go! We had Elvira as our instructor, and she was great. She took us through the different varieties of cacao found in the State of Oaxaca how they are used to make chocolate and what the differences are. I will never look at another chocolate bar the same way. We then got to make three different styles of hot chocolate, and I mean she made us traditionally make the drinks and then taste and comment on each one as to the differences. Absolutely outstanding! She was very professional and very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Highly recommended!

Review - It's was really nice to see how the place works . We get a private intimate course with lovely Coral. She explained us about the beans, and the prosses, showed us the the types and we tasted everything (a bit, dond expect to eat alot of chocolate). At the end of it, each one of us made his own chocolate drink by cooking and grind the podwer and we drunk the chocolate, with a amazing local dessert they made for us. And we get cacao powder to get home. It's was really nice experience!
