• Santo Tomás Jalieza - An ancient technique, the backstrap loom, one of Mexico’s oldest forms of weaving, will be explored. Here, craftswomen work entirely by hand, using their bodies as part of the loom, requiring great skill, patience, and precision.

During the visit, the weaving process, the meanings of the designs and colors, and how this technique has been passed down through generations, remaining vibrant to this day, will be learned.
