Highly Recomend- this is how to be in the moment! - When you hear about a tour/company from a stranger on the Monorail in WDW before you even start planning a trip to Hawaii, you know it’s got to be good! And it sure was! My family of 4- parents and 2 young adult children- had the pleasure of doing the private island tour with Ryan. Ryan’s goal was for us to take it all in, learn about his home and to be in the moment. And that was just what we needed to hear and experience. He asked us what we wanted to do and some other questions and had the day planned for us in an instant. We started off at the Dole Plantation and grabbed Dole Whips and then headed to Waimea Falls. The Falls were an incredible experience, but the walk up and back down was beautiful- I didn’t realize the Falls were also a botanical garden. Then we drove over to the North Shore for lunch where we were able to find food that accommodated our dietary restrictions (Celiacs and nut allergies). After that, we were able to snorkel and then end our day at the KoHana Rum Distillery. All of these stops were amazing and special, but for me, my favorite part of the tour was being able to talk and listen to Ryan. He had so much to share about his love for Hawaii and what makes it special to him. We learned so much about the culture and the people. It comes from such a genuine place of love and respect for his home. Hi5 is all about supporting local businesses also and they are invested in their community. All around an amazing and unforgettable experience! Please check them out- worth every penny!

You will not do better than Hi5 with Ryan - We were so lucky to have selected this tour. Booking it was very easy and we were picked up from our hotel by Ryan.
He was an amazing tour guide. His knowledge of local places, history, environment and local culture was top draw. It was a full day experience picked up at 8 30 and dropped back at 5 00. The van was very comfortable and air con was good.
Visited pineapple farm, macadamia nut plantation, amazing food truck venue, Sunset Beach, paddle boarding/kayaking, filming locations, historic lookout.
Thanks Ryan and Hi5 for a great day.

Best experience - We had a great time, thanks Kelly for showing us the local sites. We are planning to go back and revisit some sites so we can have more time. Without your tour we wouldn’t have found half of the sites to see. We look forward to using Hi5 again.

Fun Private Tour - I loved my private tour with Hi5 Tours!
Booking with Hi5 was very easy. I called the company and spoke with someone who was very nice and helpful. Using their website to book a private tour for 7 people was also easy. I was able to write down what my party wanted to do.
The day before my tour, the company called to confirm the tour and the places to visit.
On the day of the tour, the van picked us up at my hotel easily and gave my party a lei greeting. Our tour guide was auntie Kelly and she was so friendly and knowledgeable. She talked to us about the things we wanted to do and filled in the rest of the day with great suggestions. We visited Tantalus look out, Greenworld Coffee Farm, Dole Plantation, spent a while walking around Haleiwa town, eating lunch at a food truck stop, driving along the coast where she pointed out all the points of interest, Byodo-In temple, and of course, Leonard’s food truck for malasadas. It was great going to all of these places in one day and I didn’t feel rushed.
Auntie Kelly made us feel like a part of her ohana. I learned so much from her about the island and she made the day very fun!

Highly recommend this private tour - We did the full day private tour with Ryan M. and it/ he was fantastic. He took us to the Dole Plantation, Waimea Falls, Food trucks at North Shore, a coffee/ chocolate plantation, and a rum distillery. Ryan was entertaining the entire time and provided an abundance of inside information about the history and landscape of these regions in Hawaii. He even entertained our two kids while we did a tasting at the rum distillery! Highly recommend this tour and tour guide!

Amazing day - We had an amazing tour with Auntie Kelly! She greeted us with delicious malasadas from Leonard’s and we were on our way. The van was spacious and we appreciate that they provided a car seat and booster seats! We were able to squeeze so many stops in during our day- Green World coffee, Dole Plantation, snow cones at the North Shore, a farmers market, Waimea falls, and a quick stop at Kualoa ranch. We learned so much about Hawaiian culture and history.

Amazing day! - Aunty Kelly is amazing! She made the day fly by in such a good way! Only thing we had to think about were questions she hadnt already answered. Its such a game changer to have such a knowledgable guide who grew up here.

Island Antics! - This was a great trip! Our guide Ryan was really knowledgeable and shared lots of “true islander” wisdom and lore. Turtle time was the best!

A MUST BOOK—couldn’t recommend more! - I ENTHUSIASTICALLY RECOMMEND hi 5 tours! My sister booked a full day private tour for our extended family (12 of us—ages 4 though 80), and it could not have been a better experience! JK and Kia picked us up at our hotel with hot, fresh, delicious Malasadas (local donuts), and greeted each one of us by name! From the jump it was clear that JK cares deeply for adventure, relationship, the island, and curating fun, adventure-filled learning and bonding moments. As we started to drive, he took the time to have each of us go around and share our hopes and dreams for the day and then, on the spot, used his knowledge of local resources and years of connections to curate a day that exceeded all of our expectations!
He was so good with my young children, even helping them out of the waterfall when they were ready for a break so that my husband and I could continue to swim and enjoy the experience. (AND accommodating without hesitation when we had to backtrack to the beach for a lost pair of shoes!)
He ran ahead and ordered us the MOST delicious hurricane fries (a must try!) so that we had a snack in the car without having to wait in the long line, and modified a pickup location on the beach when walking on the sand became a bit difficult for one member of our group. We never felt rushed, and our needs were seen and heard, always. It was hospitality at its finest!
We fed goats, ate decorous ice cream, drank yummy coffee, hiked within beautiful Hawaiian nature, swam in a waterfall, ate delicious food truck food, enjoyed fresh shaved ice, saw sea turtles on the beach, splashed in the waves, and made a quick stop at the Dole Plantation. What a perfect combo of activities for our crew!
At the end of the day, JK facilitated a closing time together during our ride back to the hotel, where we each shared some of our favorite moments. It was a great way to wrap up our time together (and, as a teacher, I really appreciated his intentionality with curating opportunities for us to name our experiences out loud to each other)!
I 10 out of 10 recommend booking with Hi 5 Tours—it will be the first piece of advice I give friends who plan to travel to O’ahu. THANK YOU, JK and KIA!!
