Additionally, we offer free photos and videos for every tour! As a family-owned and operated business grounded in Haleiwa, Hawai’i, on O’ahu’s North Shore, we value our local heritage.
You’ll be guided by a safety diver who ensures a secure yet exciting experience where you can observe and swim with sharks and other sea dwellers. This encounter will provide you better insights about the marine ecosystem, helping you to dispel misjudged fears and misconceptions regarding sharks and their oceanic companions.
In this ‘cage-free’ offering, you will swim freely among the sharks for approximately 30 minutes. We don’t use bulky gear. Instead, snorkeling equipment will be employed to keep the experience as natural and real as possible.
- Minimum age is 5 years old - must be accompanied by an adult
- Get a good night’s rest before your adventure!
- We kindly ask you leave behind any preconceived notions about sharks and experience this adventure with an open mind
- Always be attentive and present in the water, keeping your ears above water and paying close attention to the Safety Diver’s instructions
- If you are prone to seasickness, please take Dramamine 1 hour prior to the tour
- A minimum of 3 people per trip is required for any trip. If you are booking as a single passenger, we will contact you if the minimum trip requirements are not met.

Directions: Meet on the left side of the harbor next to boat launching ramp/loading dock.

Vibes & Aura - Safe, educational, and fun activity.
From the get go, our hosts felt like family. Vibes were great with a small, intimate group. We got a bonus whale watching tour. The mother whale and her baby were so close we could hear them underwater and blow air. Very cool. Babe got some great pictures of us and loved our fellow Minnesotan!

HIT THE BOOK BUTTON! - JUST DO IT!! It was amazing! The guides were so knowledgeable and fun! We felt comfortable and had a blast! If they had had availability on the next tour, I would have gone twice! Just wish it was longer in the water! I was disappointed that I couldn't take my own camera, but it turned out fine. She took beautiful pics for us for free! Can't beat that! If you're apprehensive about getting in the water sans cage, don't be. The sharks are beautiful and have zero interest in you. I was honestly never worried at all. Just do it! You won't be sorry!

Unfreakinbelievable!! - I can’t say enough great things about this tour. The boat crew was fantastic. They made us feel comfortable and safe throughout the entire experience. The sharks are so beautiful and graceful. Pictures and videos were shared with us electronically before we left the boat (and were included at no extra cost). I was with 3 young adults (late teens and early 20’s) and we did adventure activities all week - this tour was everyone’s favorite. 10/10 - we will absolutely book this tour again on future visits to Oahu!

Incredible Experience! - Definitely book with this company! The crew was great! Our boys, 14 and 16 loved it! The crew takes tons of pictures and airdrops them to you right after your trip.

Swimming with Sharks! - This was a really cool experience. The staff was very laid back and helpful. The ride over was very rough and by the time we moored I was very seasick. That didn't really change, but swimming with the sharks below us was amazing. Just FYI, you can't take your camera in the water, but the crew takes amazing photos and airdrops them to you for free. I would highly recommend Islandview Hawaii for this tour.

Wonderful family owned company - This was my second time with these guys. They're so great, personable and friendly.
I love that they're the 1st company to do cage free on Oahu! I love that they take pictures for us, so we can focus and not miss any sightings. They get great pics from different angels. I feel very safe and confident with them in the water with me.

This was the most chill... - This was the most chill yet exciting experience. Islandview Hawaii is 10/10 and would recommend them all day long! The crew was great. Very relaxed vibe. There were 3 sharks swimming around our group and it was a phenomenal experience! Great way to start a Sunday morning.

Unforgettable Moment, Imperfect Execution - We booked this cage-free shark dive to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday and were so excited for the experience. From the beginning, the staff was friendly and welcoming. They took the time to go over all the rules and safety instructions before heading out, which we appreciated.
Once we were out at sea, it did take quite a while to find the right spot due to water visibility and safety concerns. Although the wait was longer than expected, we understood the importance of making sure conditions were safe before getting in.
When we finally began the excursion, we noticed the group size felt a bit too large. While snorkeling, we were often bumping into one another, which took away from the overall experience since we had to constantly be aware of not colliding with others instead of fully enjoying the moment.
We were not allowed to bring our own recording devices, but the staff offered to take photos and videos for us. Unfortunately, the majority of the pictures were just of us in snorkel gear, and many of the shark shots either didn’t include us or weren’t great quality. At one point, I had an incredible face-to-face moment with a shark swimming directly toward me — it would have been an amazing shot on my GoPro, but I wasn’t able to capture it.
Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, and we’re glad we tried it for such a special occasion. However, due to the crowding and disappointment with the photos, it’s not something we would choose to book again.

Not very good - Went out with this company on a shark tour in August. Will only base my review on the objective stuff, because obviously the crew can’t control the shark presence on any given tour.
The boat is OK and safety precautions are good. In my opinion, that is about where the positives end. 150 bucks for 30 minutes in the water. The captain of the day (Braxton I think his name was) had this weird cool-guy-act that made people uncomfortable and the other two didn’t really say anything at all. You’re not allowed to take your own photos/videos in the water. The crew offers pictures/videos taken by them for free, however, 90% are of course of other people on the boat. Not surprised no one on the boat gave the crew any tips. Overall, would unfortunately not recommend and not go with this company again if I were to come back.
