Known as the “Mighty Mo,” it was the last battleship built by the United States and the final one to be decommissioned. The Japanese surrender on its deck marked the end of World War II, highlighting its remarkable 50-year service history, which spanned three wars. Dive into over 70 years of history on the Battleship Missouri through engaging educational programs and experiences. Various programs are available for teachers, students, and parents to explore the Mighty Mo’s contributions during World War II, the Korean War, and Operation Desert Storm. Step aboard the largest classroom you’ll ever experience and delve into our nation’s heritage.
- National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific - Situated in an extinct volcano near central Honolulu, Hawaii, the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific is a solemn tribute.
Flanking the grand stairs leading to the memorial are eight courts of the missing, bearing the names of 18,095 American World War II missing from the Pacific, excluding the southwest Pacific, and 8,210 American missing from the Korean War. These names were inscribed on the Korean War Courts of the Missing during the 1966 dedication. Two additional half courts at the staircase’s base list 2,504 Americans missing from the Vietnam War. At the stairs’ summit, a chapel is surrounded by galleries with mosaic maps and descriptions of the American armed forces’ accomplishments in the central and south Pacific regions and Korea.

Experience the Pearl Harbor historical tour in a small group, complete with convenient pickup and drop-off services. A knowledgeable local guide will lead the way directly to Pearl Harbor, where you will spend nearly four hours exploring.
The tour begins at the Visitor Center, where you can engage with various exhibits in the museums and watch a documentary featuring historic film footage. Following the film, a Navy launch will take you on a brief boat tour to the Arizona Memorial. You will have approximately 15 minutes to take in the view and pay your respects.
The next destination is the Battleship Missouri, a floating museum where the Instrument of Surrender was signed to conclude the war with Japan while the ship was anchored in Tokyo Bay. You will have the chance to explore the “Mighty Mo,” including its multiple decks, galleys, rooms, and guns.
Afterward, the tour departs from the harbor, offering a fantastic view of the Cemetery of the Pacific on the way to the final stop, where you will be dropped off back at your hotel.
