Known as the “Mighty Mo,” it was the last American battleship constructed and the final one to be decommissioned. The Japanese surrender on the Missouri’s deck marked the end of World War II, highlighting a remarkable 50-year career that spanned five decades and three wars. Explore over 70 years of history on the Battleship Missouri through engaging educational programs and experiences. Various programs are available for teachers, students, and parents to learn about the Mighty Mo’s role in World War II, the Korean War, and Operation Desert Storm. - National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific - Situated in an extinct volcano near the heart of Honolulu, Hawaii, the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific is a place of remembrance.
Flanking the grand stairs leading to the memorial are eight courts of the missing, inscribed with the names of 18,095 American World War II missing from the Pacific, excluding the southwest Pacific, and 8,210 American missing from the Korean War. These names were listed on the Korean War Courts of the Missing at the dedication in 1966. Two half courts at the base of the staircase include the names of 2,504 Americans missing from the Vietnam War. At the top of the stairs, a chapel is surrounded by galleries featuring mosaic maps and descriptions of the American armed forces’ achievements in the central and south Pacific regions and in Korea.

Experience the Pearl Harbor historical tour in a small group, with convenient pickup and drop-off included. A knowledgeable local guide will escort the group directly to Pearl Harbor, where you will spend nearly four hours exploring.
The tour begins at the Visitor Center, where you can engage with various exhibits in the museums and watch a documentary featuring historic film footage. Following the film, a Navy launch will take you on a brief boat tour to the Arizona Memorial. You will have approximately 15 minutes to take in the view and pay your respects.
The next stop is the Battleship Missouri, a floating museum where the Instrument of Surrender, which ended the war with Japan, was signed while the ship was anchored in Tokyo Bay. You will have the chance to explore the “Mighty Mo,” including its multiple decks, galleys, rooms, and guns.
Afterward, the tour departs from the harbor, offering a fantastic view of the Cemetery of the Pacific on the way to the final stop, where you will be dropped off back at your hotels.
