May 16, 2026, Star of Honolulu, Pier 81 AlohaTower Drive departure point. - The dinner was exquisite and the show was very entertaining once we boarded the boat. The meeting place for bus provided by the hotel concierge and the instructions in the email from the Star of Honolulu were conflicting. It caused me, at the last moment, to find the correct location by asking for directions from another hotel host. The bus driver enroute to the boat was very curt and not helpful when I asked to board the bus early due to an arthritic knee as there was no place to sit at the departure point. Her answer, “sit on the bench”. There was no room. All of the seats were taken. However, the driver did allow another passenger to board early. The instructions to return after the cruise and the bus numbers were not properly communicated upon arrival at the ship. However, once aboard the boat, the ship’s staff and dinner were exceptional.

Not worth the cost - Hate to give a not so great review but we had great expectations. Our deck had a private party and they seemed to have had a better time than us. Their music was loud and was not respectful to our entertainer. Food was not the best. Good mashed potatoes! Guest appeared to be bored and crew was not motivated until their end sing-a-long set. Not worth the cost. This is our first time in Hawaii.
