Epic Adventure to the Mokes - Kayaking to the Mokes was one of my besties bucket list! We had a great time & adventure to the Mokes and Lanikai today! Marty & April are amazing and have been so helpful! ❤️

Great self guided kayak adventure!! - Great kayaking experience from the online reservations to the check in. Didn’t do a guided adventure but Brandi and the team made sure we were comfortable with loading and transporting. Super friendly team clearly invested in making sure whatever adventure you choose it will be a success!!

Great kayaking trip - Had a great time here at Kailua beach adventures. The staff are super friendly and helpful, Justin guided us and gave great tips and instructions for our self guided tour to the Mokes. Had a great time kayaking and visiting the islands.

Safe, Beginner Friendly, Lots of fun! - We had an incredible time on the self-guided tour! Kayaking out to the Mokulua Islands and relaxing on the secluded beach was definitely a highlight. From the moment we stepped into the shop, the team was welcoming and helpful. Justin guided us through everything step-by-step—we watched an informative video, got properly fitted for life jackets, and received a clear briefing on water conditions, safety, and what to watch for. Out on the water, we spotted a variety of tropical fish and even a few turtles, which made the experience even more memorable. When we returned, Justin was there to greet us and help us bring the kayaks back in, which was a great touch. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I’d highly recommend this shop to anyone, whether you’re a beginner or experienced. Thanks again, Justin!

Great experience! - Great trip and great overall experience! Morgan was so informative (as we were there after a lot of rain!!) and Wesley was helpful on the beach (and interesting!). Will definely use them again!

Great Kayaking with Beautiful Scenery & Wildlife - The staff were super super friendly. Justin and Avery helped us out & made the experience fun and comfortable. I’m a moderate kayaker and my husband is a beginner and we both had a great time. Saw a few sea turtles diving around by our kayak. Saw some betbirds at the sanctuary. Would definitely go again if we are lucky enough to come back to Hawaii!!

Cancelled due to Weather but poorly managed - Firstly the weather is not their fault, they made the correct call to cancel it for safety and that is not the reason for this review. Communication was poor. Bad weather had been forecast a few days before and on the day, yet I received no message about this from the operator that there was a risk of cancellation. I think messages should be sent out on days of bad weather allowed customers to be aware of the risk. Before cancellation, I was also told on the door that due to the weather the island of Moku Nui was not safe to travel to, again this is understandable but should be communicated before arrival. Once I arrived I was told it was still taking place, however was left without a lot of instruction of what to do. I went up to a member of staff and got a blank stare until another member of staff came up. She was very friendly and smiley however just pointed me towards the equipment and didn’t help with life jacket sizing or which paddles to pick out. At this point the manager said no one could go out for the next 30 minutes, which again is understandable for safety but no apology was given. I waited 20 minutes before being told that I would not be able to kayak, and once again the manager (I believe he was the manager as he seemed to be in charge) did not apologise. I was then directed to a member of staff who offered me a refund or a rebooking, and when I asked for a refund I was told I had to contact Tripadvisor myself and sort it, rather than them. Safety is priority of course and they cannot control the weather, however firstly they can handle the situation better and communicate and secondly they can apologise. Had I gone kayaking I also got the impression that I would be given very little help or guidance. Had this not occurred I would have happily rebooked with them however will be looking to do so with another company.
