Kayak tour - We booked the kayak tour with Kahana Adventures, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Oahu. The whole process was super easy, and Jay was kind, helpful, and made us feel totally prepared to head out on our own. The kayak and gear were in great condition, and the instructions were clear and simple. Once we got on the water, it was just beautiful—peaceful surroundings, lush mountains, and a real sense of calm. Highly recommend Kahana Adventures to anyone looking for a fun and peaceful way to explore this beautiful part of the island!

Great Experience - This was a wonder kayak trip up the river and into the ocean. What a beautiful river. The equipment was newer and worked great. Lena was amazing. She is so friendly and helpful. Would definitely come here again

Beautiful and Serene! - Beautiful and serene setting. This has become my new favorite place to kayak. We started out kayaking toward the mountains and the views were just breathtaking. We went as far as we could go without getting stuck and then made the trek back toward the sea, with a stop on the shore to rest and enjoy the views. The owners were friendly and kind. Would definitely do this again and have recommended this adventure to many! Mahalo!

Fabulous kayaking adventure. - Kahana Adventures was fantastic from the moment we arrived. They are friendly and professional and we became ohana immediately.

Kayak adventure - This adventure was extremely relaxing and the scenery on this kayak trip was like a trip into a tropical wonderland!! The water was calm going up the river making paddling easy and peaceful. The vegetation was abundant and full of color. Paddling out into the ocean was a little more work but the beach was a fun place to stop and view the beauty of Hawaii. Best of all, the staff was the most friendly on the Island and was a pleasure to spend some time chatting with them!! This is a must do while on Oahu for sure!!

Fun and easy kayaking! - Calm water, easy to maneuver, beautiful scenery and option to kayak in the bay in the ocean. There is a swing and rope swing along the way if you want to stop and have a little fun:) We also beached our kayak and enjoyed waking along the secluded beach on the bay. Very nice family run operation. They were great hosts!!

Paddle out - Local family owned. Very amazing experience. I have always wanted to paddle out into that bay and it was everything I had hoped.

Will do again - The family who run this were so helpful. They are so knowledgeable of the area and conservation is most important to them. So many beautiful sights to see.

Relaxing, tranquil, and beautiful - We were looking to do something a little bit different and adventurous, that wasn't ATVing (although we did that too). This really worked out far better than I had expected. We've crossed over this particular river so many times and never really thought to stop and explore. The owner (his family has been on the land for many generations) is super hospitable, accommodating, and provided everything you'd possibly need. We rented the 2-person kayak, but he also made available waterproof phone cases, bug spray, and life vests. An hour was plenty to go up and down the river and play on the rope swings. I'm not sure how far you could actually get, but it does get a bit narrow and tough with all the overgrowth a bit after the swings. I do think the river scenery was nicer than the river at Haleiwa, but it's probably not more than an hour. The really nice part of the day is the river empties into the bay and boy that was really, really nice. The water was calm, very blue, warm, and pretty shallow pretty far out. For our first attempt at ocean kayaking, it was very serene. There was only one other couple in our time slot and so we mostly had the river and bay to ourselves. To cap off the morning, we were treated to some shave ice and had a great time talking to the owner and the other couple. One word of warning though, the river is pretty murky and deep in places, so be sure not to drop anything like I did with my sunglasses. I really liked those sunglasses too, I just watched it slowly sink. Anyhow, book this activity, it's definitely worth it and reasonable.

Super bad attitude. Be ready for a guilt trip. - Shame on Kahana Adventures for making us feel guilty over nothing today, and causing us to turn around and not go enjoy the river. Seriously, they have an attitude problem. They could have handled our interaction so differently, with positivity and kindness, but they chose guilt and nastiness. I hope they treat others better than they treated us today. I hope karma comes back to bite them 10x. We were definitely late, but we had no service and couldn't call ahead. They need to change their attitude. Avoid these jerks.
