Crew delivers great experience w/ Dolphins - Our original tour agent cancelled on us twice. We booked a third time with Indigo Ocean. We’re so glad we did. The whole crew worked hard to give us a great experience. We really enjoyed swimming with the dolphins. It was very fun and that was due in large part to the efforts of the crew. They were very inclusive of everyone, making sure everyone got to see dolphins during our jumps. They were excited for us as we were successful sighting the dolphins. We would do it again.

Great experience for families with teens! - This was a great experience for our family of 6, including a 12-yr old and 3 teenagers. The crew was attentive, funny and proactively engaged with my teens and they loved it. I felt safe the entire time and they made a huge effort to ensure we saw dolphins. The smaller quantity of people on the tour/boat made it feel person and we received a lot of 1:1 attention. As a bonus the Hawaiian lunch was really tasty! Would highly recommend this provider for future families.

Best thing on our trip - This was the highlight of our whole trip! It was suppose to be 6 guests total but 2 canceled so it felt like an exclusive trip. Steve and his crew were all amazing. My wife and I were new to snorkeling and not a strong swimmer. But the crew made we feel very comfortable and safe the whole time. The trip started with a group of spinner dolphins swimming right beside our boat. Did a 3 jumps to see other dolphins and ended the trip with snorkeling with a turtle and octopus. We couldn't ask for a better trip. Another thing I like is that the crew found those dolphins organically. There were no scan, sonar, or whatever that might disturb the animals. Everyone was very respectful to nature and that's the way it should be.

Great experience - One of the best experiences we have ever had We saw 2 whales Then swam with these giant dolphins (whale hunters I believe is their name) Then we had spinning dolphins following our boat! In the last stop we had sea turtles and octopuses!! The crew jumped and got them from the bottom of the ocean! Overall the crew was amazing, Julie, and the rest were awesome 👍 Wasn't cheap but worth every single dollar! Highly recommend

Best Ever!! - This tour was absolutely incredible from start to finish. We didn’t just get what was promised—we got an unforgettable experience. We saw whales, swam with dolphins, and had an amazing snorkeling session in crystal-clear water. The crew truly made the day exceptional. They were knowledgeable, fun, and clearly passionate about what they do. The highlight for me was when I accidentally lost my GoPro—and one of the crew members free dove nearly 80 feet to retrieve it. That level of effort and care is something you just don’t see every day. Everything was well organized, the lunch was great, and the entire experience felt seamless and relaxed. If you’re even considering this tour, book it. Easily one of the best experiences of our trip.

Great if you never get seasick; don't bring children - The Good The highlight is absolutely the chance to see wild dolphins and sea turtles in their natural environment off Oʻahu—it’s a memorable and special experience that’s hard to replicate. The crew was friendly, and tried their very best to find dolphins. The snorkeling portion itself was enjoyable when conditions allowed. The lunch that was provided were tasty. The Bad Seasickness is a real issue on this trip. At times, a significant portion of the boat was actively vomiting in the back. I took dramamine beforehand and was still very sick. Given the boat went to deep sea to look for dolphins, several people spent 2-3 hours on the boat actively vomiting. The teenage boys that were part of the staff had to hop back and forth around the vomitting people, to get in and out of the boat area as they cleaned up the vomit without running into the vomitting people. The boat bathroom is also difficult to access, requiring climbing down a 4-step ladder, which becomes very challenging when nauseated or when the boat is rocking due to high waves. To make matters worse, the public bathroom at the harbor was closed before departure, so there was no opportunity to go beforehand—something that should have been communicated. It takes 1hr from Waikiki to get to the harbor so having a real bathroom beforehand would've been better. The Ugly The logistics around getting in and out of the water from the boat felt chaotic and potentially unsafe. There was limited direction from staff, so people were climbing the ladder simultaneously, accidentally hitting each other with flippers, and in some cases jumping into the water too close to one another to the point of landing on someone else. It created a disorganized and uncomfortable experience that could easily lead to injury or concussion. A strict one-at-a-time system and clearer instructions would go a long way in improving safety. If you have children under 12, I would not recommend this trip at all due to safety concerns.
