An overview of the route will be provided, along with a safety briefing and a test ride to ensure your bike is comfortable, with the correct seat height. You will then have the remainder of the day to explore the local area on your bike, making stops on your return to Wanaka. A favorite stop is the patisserie in Albert Town – an award-winning bakery.

Upon arrival in Wanaka, nzbiketrails will collect your bikes at the original pickup location by 4pm.

Our e-bikes are suitable for children aged 8 years and older who are over 140cm tall and confident riders capable of using bike gears. It is recommended that young families book either the 0900hrs or 1030hrs shuttles to allow ample time to ride back to Wanaka.

Embark on an exceptional journey to witness the splendor of the environment. Your journey will lay across flatlands ensconced by mountains along easy level 1-2 trails suitable for families.

The suggested path takes you on a trail starting from Hawea, adjacent to the Hawea river, via Albert Town and continues along the Clutha river towards Wanaka.

As you progress, you’ll have the opportunity to visit intriguing sites such as Lake Hawea, Pembroke Patisserie, Wanaka, the symbolic Wanaka Tree and the picturesque Edgewater Hotel garden bar.
