Solio Ranch - Following breakfast and a brief orientation by the safari guide, the journey begins towards the central highlands of Kenya. The drive offers scenic views of pineapple plantations, coffee, and tea farms. On a clear morning, the snow-capped Mt. Kenya, Africa’s second-highest peak, may be visible. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon bird walk to admire the surrounding wildlife.

Solio Ranch - This privately managed conservation reserve has been committed to the protection of white and black rhinos for many years. Solio Ranch is home to over 250 white rhinos and approximately 80 black rhinos, along with more than 100 lions, buffalo herds, waterbuck, giraffes, impala herds, and a unique birdlife. The park’s diverse habitats support a wide range of species. A full-day safari offers the chance to explore a variety of wildlife.

Solio to Aberdare National Park

Aberdare National Park - The day includes a visit to the mountain-side forest of Aberdare National Park. The park features a dense rainforest, stunning waterfalls, and moorland high up the mountain. Elephants may be seen feeding in the bushes. Spotting an African giant forest hog in the thicket is rare but remarkable. Trails offer a closer view of the waterfalls, and with luck, rhinos and a leopard may also be seen.

Aberdare to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Ol Pejeta Conservancy - After breakfast, check out and take a short drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to the last two surviving Northern white rhinos. Besides the rhino conservation project, there is also a chimpanzee project. Enjoy a game drive en route to the camp. After lunch, relax until the afternoon game drive to explore the chimpanzee sanctuary. With luck, other members of the Big Five may be spotted.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy Full Day

Ol Pejeta Conservancy - Spend the entire day exploring Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a privately owned reserve with views of Mount Kenya. The conservancy hosts a large number of wildlife, including the Big Five (elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, and buffalo) and other species. It also features a special sanctuary for rare and endangered species like the black rhino, Gravy’s zebra, Jackson’s hartebeest, and chimpanzees. The chimpanzee sanctuary, the only one in Kenya, provides a home for orphaned and abused chimpanzees, helping them adapt to living independently. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

Nairobi - After a delicious breakfast, bid farewell to the camp staff and return to Nairobi, with a drop-off at the Nairobi hotel or airport.
