Not Just a Farm — A Journey of Connection - Staying at Dar Jan in Nuweiba was one of the most heartwarming and grounding experiences I’ve ever had. It’s not just a farm — it’s a sanctuary of love, nature, and connection. I arrived with a group of friends, and from the very first moment, Jan and Khaled welcomed us with deep presence and open hearts. The first two days were full of creative activities — on day one, we played with clay; on day two, we explored natural dye and plant printing. Evenings were magical — music, dancing, and stories under the desert sky. On the third day, they took us on a desert adventure. We didn’t just camp under the stars — we slept in beautifully prepared tents, surrounded by silence and moonlight. Every single detail was taken care of — from transportation to food to comfort — with thought, care, and love. Jan’s cooking is truly out of this world. The flavors she creates are like nothing you’ve ever tasted — rich, layered, and deeply nourishing. She understands spices and blends like no one else. Her food feels like art you can taste. And then there’s Khaled’s cakes and tea — a whole different story. His cakes are soft, full of flavor, and made with so much love. His tea, always warm and intentional, somehow tastes like belonging. Their love for Egypt and its people is woven into every corner of the farm. You can feel it in the stones, in the colors, in the way they speak, host, and care. Egypt truly is a land of blessings — and being at Dar Jan reminds you of that. Jan and Khaled are more than hosts — they’re artists of space and feeling. Their presence teaches you about care, about how to live with love and intention. They connect you to the land, to the local Bedouin communities, and to yourself. Magical vibes - An Unforgettable Experience in the Heart of the Sinai Desert Staying at Dar Jan was truly a magical experience. Nestled in the vast, peaceful landscape of the Sinai Desert, this place offered the perfect blend of adventure, culture, and tranquility. Our host was incredibly welcoming and generous, sharing not only delicious traditional meals, but also stories, knowledge of the desert, and a warm spirit that made us feel like part of the family. The sunsets were breathtaking, the stars at night indescribable, and the quiet of the desert was a balm for the soul. If you’re looking to disconnect from the noise of the world and reconnect with nature, this is the place to be. I can’t recommend it enough — it’s not just a stay, it’s an experience that stays with you

Amazing trip! - An incredible private tour! Khaled and Gihan were so welcoming and had literally thought of everything. Charlie and I had the best time exploring the desert and relaxing on their beautiful farm. The food throughout was delicious and plenty of it. We also took the one day pottery course and that was also great. We loved it.

Fantastic personalised experience, far from the crowds - Simply fantastic, every detail thought of. Was a special visit for a special occasion, the camping was by far the luxurious i have been on in sinai desert, the driver was excellent and khalid and jan made the most memorable trip, kind and considerate. The trip itself took us to awe inspiring locations which where not with the other tourists which made this the highlight of my time in egypt. Really can not recommend enough. The food is fantastic (not just for egypt!) But properly delicious A must book trip

Highly recommended! - That was a such memorable experience. I absolutely enjoyed the hospitality and warmth of Khaled and Gihan. Sinai is such an incredible place and it was the right place to start a new year. Plus the food was incredible!

Just the most wonderful experience of our Sinai holidays - We had such a magical time with Khaled! We met him, just shortly after we found out that the dessert Tour we had originally booked was cancelled. When we told him about it, he did everything to organize a PERFECT over night dessert trip just for us in less than a day. So the next morning we headed up to Sinai dessert! It was just amazing that he made this dream of us come true even tho we had already given up the hope to make this adventure. Plus, the trip turned out to be everything we had wished for and even more. I cannot recommend Dar Jan enough. Thank you for everything!💕

A sleepover in the desert that you really want to make. - On the 31th of march 2024 I went with a friend for the touring experience in Sinai Valleys and a sleepover in the desert. I didn’t really know what to expect. I’m a women for Europe, so being in the desert was totally new for me, but men what an adventure. We packed our clothes and everything else was brought bij Khaled en Gihan. I thought while we were in the desert we would eat food that was oke, but I couldn’t expected that they cooked so good at that location. It was a really nice meal, with fresh products and made with love. While they were cooking, we were exploring the mountains, with everywhere a different view. When we’re climbing the mountains. There were a lot of bricks that were lose so we had to be careful. But before we went climbing we got a briefing from Khaled. Sow we were prepared en got all the info. They brought the tents, pillow and blankets. They set up a camp to sit and chill. In the morning they woke us up so we could climb the mountain and they brought coffee so we could drink coffee and ate dates on the mountain top with sunrise. When we packed al of our things we drove to another place for a hike. That hike was so beautiful, I didn’t expect that. All of te colours and heights. Very special. During the experience we got a lot of very interesting information about Egypt and the location. The couple who give this experience are very warm people. They really want to get te know you and want you to have a great time. Their English is very good. That’s great because I could understand everything they were saying (that’s not everywhere). I really recommend this experience if you are nearby. It is an adventure i will never forget.
