- Gayathri Peedam - 09:00: Guests will be picked up from their hotel and transported to Gayathri Peedam. This is the first and foremost temple dedicated to Gayathri Amman (an aspect of Saraswati and the Universal Mother) in Sri Lanka. It is believed to be the site where King Ravana’s son, Meghanath, worshipped Lord Shiva through penance, leading to the granting of supernatural powers by the powerful deity.
- Seetha Devi Agni Pravesha Place - 10:15: After this visit, guests will proceed to Diurumpola Temple. This location is traditionally recognized as the site where Seetha Devi underwent the “Agni Pariksha” (trial by fire) to prove her purity. The Sinhalese term “Divurumpola” translates to ‘the place of oath’. Presently, the legal system acknowledges and accepts oaths taken at this temple for resolving disputes between parties.
- Seetha Eliya - 14:30: Arrive at Seetha Eliya to visit the Seetha Amman temple. This distinctive temple in Nuwara Eliya is believed to be where Seeta spent much of her captivity, according to the Ramayana legend. It is one of the few temples dedicated to Seeta and features footprints of the monkey god Hanuman.
