- Damro Labookellie Tea Centre and Tea Garden - The tea factory in Nuwara Eliya, known as Damro Labookellie Tea Centre (formerly Mackwoods), is the oldest tea center in Sri Lanka. The tea bushes are replanted every century across more than 5,000 hectares of vibrant tea plantations. This factory produces white and black tea, while green tea is processed at another facility and then delivered to Damro. Each type of tea undergoes a unique production process, which visitors can learn about during a complimentary factory tour. The tour concludes with a delightful tea and cake tasting at the Damro Tea Lounge.
- Ramboda Waterfall - Located in the Ramboda area of the Nuwara Eliya district, Ramboda Falls is a renowned waterfall in Sri Lanka. The Ramboda Oya river flows gracefully through the Ramboda valley, creating a stunning series of waterfalls within a few kilometers of the Colombo – Kandy – Nuwara Eliya main road. The most famous, the Upper Ramboda Oya Fall, is about 1.5 km from the main road. To visit this waterfall, take the footpath starting near the Middle Fall, adjacent to the main road. The uphill trek to this 12-meter tall marvel is a pleasant hike, with steps provided along the path.
- Post Office Nuwara Eliya - This impressive Tudor-style building features two stories and a prominent clock spire. Constructed by the British in 1894, the Nuwara Eliya Post Office is one of the oldest in Sri Lanka.
- Lover’s Leap Falls - This stunning 30-meter high Lover’s Leap Fall in Nuwara Eliya originates from the streams and brooks of Sri Lanka’s highest mountain, Piduruthalagala (2,524 meters).
- Gregory Lake - Also known as Gregory Reservoir, Lake Gregory is situated in the heart of the tea country hill city, Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. Constructed during the tenure of British Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873, the lake and its surroundings form the Gregory Lake Area.
- Single Tree Hill - The term “Single Tree” has been used since ancient times. The summit offers a magnificent sunrise view. Located 6,890 feet above sea level, it takes about 90 minutes to reach the top. Single Tree Hill provides the best vantage point to admire the beauty of Nuwara Eliya and the Haggala Mountain range. It reveals breathtaking views of the entire Nuwara Eliya Town, including other mountains like Piduruthalagala and Haggala.
- Seetha Eliya - The Sri Seethai Amman Temple is a unique temple built at the site where Seeta Mata was held captive by Ravana approximately 5,000 years ago. It is one of the few temples dedicated to Seeta.
