Great tour- I would highly recommend - We had a great experience starting with an amazing sunrise- Definitely worth getting up early for. Our guide in Horton Plains was amazing and so knowledgeable. She pointed ojt loads to us and we would not have seen or known about most of the things we saw if she had not pointed them out to us.

Birding Sri Lanka's High Plains Cloud Forest - This tour was quite a surprise, as I had read that people aren't allowed to drive in Horton Plains, only to hike around a designated loop trail. Not true! That only applies to the hiking route. We drove from one entrance across to the other and back, stopping at various birding spots along the way. This 1/2-day tour was perfect because the fog comes down later in the morning. It's a great place to see high altitude specialty birds like Sri Lanka White-eye and Yellow-browed Bulbul, as well as the impressive Sambar deer and Purple-faced Leaf Monkeys. Our guide was quite familiar with the park and knowledgeable, and we enjoyed our morning in this different habitat. Just be prepared for the very curvy, very bumpy road to get there (at least if you're coming from Ella).
