“Christmas Markets+ - Marianne was a great host. The company and Marianne did a good job communicating and keeping us abreast of information prior to the trip. On the day of, Marianne was early and greeted us upon arrival. Marianne confirmed the train and tickets were in alignment and off to the platform we went. The train was delayed (nothing you can do) but through our discussions with Marianne, we informed her we were mostly interested in the Christmas markets were rated #1 for German Christmas. Marianne knows her way very well through the town and the markets and we easily maneuvered through the crowds to our location enjoying almost no wait times for queuing to get into our locations. We informed Marianne that for lunch, we were really only interested in the street food at the markets, to which she found us the best RostBrats in town! These little delights are a holiday special & I could have stood there all day eating them! My wife was interested in potato pancakes, and once again Marianne found us the best site and gobble gobble, they were good and gone! We also informed Marianne that we were interested in getting some gingerbread since Nuremburg is famous for the gingerbread. She showed us several locations and took us to the best of the best to which we acquired some goodies for my father back home. The walking was easy except the castle (that is one steep hike up) but we felt that if Marianne could do it, we could do it! If you don’t do well on inclines, I would suggest passing on the castle, worth the trip, but not worth the pain! Marianne provided we wealth of information and input throughout the day as she as a wealth of knowledge on all things Nuremburg. We had a private room in the train ride back that made for a nice way to end our day, our thanx to Marianne for taking such good care of us! We totally recommend this tour.” - Reviewed at 2022-12-16
