Nuremberg, for many years, had been the clandestine hub of the Holy Roman Empire of Germany, hosting the prominent Nuremberg Diets. The city’s importance was such that Julius Streicher, one of the regime’s foremost anti-Semitic figures, resided here. He was the owner and proponent of the weekly publication, Der Stürmer.
