This excursion kicks off in front of the main train station of Nuremberg. Link up with the tour guide and fellow travelers and wander around the ancient quarters of the city, taking in the charm of the half-timbered houses and stone-paved lanes. Be in awe of the vast City Walls of old Nuremberg, which stretch for roughly four kilometers.
Beyond the walls, stroll by the Craftsmen’s Courtyard, a locale where artisans such as glass cutters, leather crafters, goldsmiths and silversmiths, along with stained-glass artists showcase their goods for purchasing. Visit the Gothic St. Lawrence Church, rebuilt post World War II; the Nürnberger Christkindlesmarkt, Germany’s most renowned yuletide market; in addition to the Town Hall, the residence of German Renaissance painter Albrecht Dürer, and the yards of the Imperial Castle, among other fascinating sights.
