Nukus - Aral Sea

Nukus - Nukus serves as the capital of the Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan. From here, the journey begins towards the Yurt camp at the Aral Sea, approximately 400 km away, which takes about 7 hours to drive.

Mizdakkhan - Mizdakhan is one of the oldest complexes in the region, where remnants of pagan beliefs are still evident.

Ships Cemetery - Once a bustling and significant city in Uzbekistan, it is now known by the somber name “Cemetery of Ships,” a poignant example of human impact on nature. Here, enjoy a lunch with a Karakalpak family.

The Regional History and Aral Sea Museum - This museum offers insights into the historical background of the Aral Sea.

Ustyurt Plateau - The next destination is the grand canyons of Uzbekistan, perfect for capturing stunning photographs of these white canyons. Additionally, visit a local family primarily involved in camel breeding.

Aral Sea - Finally, arrive at the sea to spend the night in yurts. Before settling in, there is ample time to swim or enjoy a beach walk. Later, enjoy an open-air dinner (weather permitting) and relax by the campfire.

Aral Sea - Nukus

The Regional History and Aral Sea Museum - Depart at 08:00 in the morning towards Nukus, stopping at the ancient caravanserai Kurgancha along the way. Kurgancha (12th – early 13th centuries) is an archaeological complex featuring a settlement, a tower, a pottery kiln, and separate structures, representing a monument from the pre-Mongol period.

Sudochye koʻli - A favored spot for fishing and hunting, this area is a crucial stop for migrating birds such as pink flamingos, white swans, and wild ducks. Enjoy a lunch here.

Nukus - Upon returning from the sea to Nukus, the journey concludes with wonderful memories. Drop-off is available at the hotel or the airport in Nukus.
