A truly unforgettable private nature experience in Costa Rica - I had a private nature walk with Victor and it was truly one of the highlights of my time in Costa Rica. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the land, the ecosystem, and the wildlife, and his genuine love for the area really comes through. We saw beautiful birds (and Victor even lined up his binoculars so I could get a perfect view) and a sleeping monkey tucked high in the trees. The experience felt immersive, unhurried, and very personal — like being shown the forest by someone who truly understands it. A wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The tour guide contacted... - The tour guide contacted us beforehand because the morning was going to be windy; they said that might mean there would be fewer birds, and suggested we move the time to the afternoon; I was very grateful for their attentiveness.
We saw a few neat birds along the way, and looked in the estuary and further up for various wading birds and the like. Our guide, Victor, pointed out a troop of Coatis, a sleeping Raccoon, a monkey, and told us about the bird sounds and gave much information about the animals. The forest was beautiful, with varying foliage.

Great tour! - Had such an amazing time today. Alex was our tour guide and he was great. He was incredibly educated in not only facts about the birds we saw but about the trees, nature and all the wildlife. The hike itself was beautiful and we saw so many cool birds, wildlife, and trees.
Would 10/10 recommend!

Victor is FANTASTIC! - Victor is incredibly knowledgeable. He knows the land and the patterns of the ecosystem. He answered every single question I had. We saw some amazing birds, beautiful trees, monkeys, butterflies, crocodiles & I felt totally immersed in nature. He is honestly the best guide I’ve ever had. Excellent guide. Excellent morning in Costa Rica.

Best Birding in Guanacaste - One of the best tours we have done in many years of visits to Costa Rica. Was not sure what to expect as we has never done an official bird watching tour. We had a blast. Our guide, Alexander, is a great guy and super knowledgeable regarding the local birds and other wildlife. Our bird count exceeded 40 different species. Alex's ability to spot birds and point them out was phenomenal. Got many great bird photos and learned allot about the local ecology. Based on advice from Alex my son went birding again the next day and spotted a pygmy owl. Great time!!

Great tour! - Alex was a fantastic guide and we saw 36 different species of birds just on our morning hike. It was fantastic and I’d recommend this trip to anyone!

Excellent for birders! - This excursion was very fun and informative…Victor is indeed the bird whisperer and we enjoyed seeing many species including a toucan and spoonbill! He obviously knows his stuff not just about birds but plants and local ecology and happily answered all of our questions. Highly recommend!

So many beautiful birds! - We saw so many birds and we loved our guide! We met our guide at the mouth of the Nosara river and we hiked and walked around for about an hour and half. We will definitely be back for more birdwatching!

Don’t book this tour! - We prepaid $130 for this tour. We showed up at the meeting point designated in the materials we received. I am familiar with the area so I’m quite sure we were in the place designated to meet. The tour operator did not appear. The only way the materials we received from Viator (a Trip Advisor company) gave us to contact the tour operator was through a chat feature. The tour operator did not respond. We had cell service and we did not receive any communication from the tour operator. I contacted Viator for a refund, and they have refused. They say the t our operator said he was at the designated meeting point and tried to contact us. Well, we were there and he was not, and we have no indication that he tried to call/text/email us. I am disappointed that Viator has refused to make this right. Last time I ever book through them.

Don’t sign up for this tour! - We pre-paid $130 for this activity. The tour operator never showed up at the meeting point and didn’t respond to chat messages. I contacted Viator to secure a refund and they said they’re waiting for a response from the tour operator. We still haven’t received a esponse.
