We had a 14-person reservation on Saturday, May 14th on one of your North Vancouver Bikes. We loved our Tour guide & the destinations along the tour were awesome. Unfortunately, the music on the tour didn't work for about a third of the trip, and multiple chains were detached from the pedals, so many participants weren't able to pedal for the duration of the tour. There was also a seat fully broken off one of the bike seats, which had to be fixed during the tour. I've done one of these tours before in another city and spent a lot more time/distance on the bike so was a bit disappointed with the quality of the bike, for the amount of money that we paid.

The tour guide didn’t seem to have a lot to say in terms of “touring” us, or any knowledge of the beer that we tasted. Many of the bikes weren’t working because the chains were broken. We only biked to 3 breweries, and they were all so close together there was not a lot of cycling involved. We did have a good time - the folks you meet make it enjoyable, however it is good bang for your buck.

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. I must say, my group and I were very disappointed with our tour. For starters, we paid for a craft brew cycle, and were looking forwards to being able to cycle. Unfortunately, only 2 of the 6 seats we were on had working bike chains. According to the guide, they were broken from the start and he was unable to fix them. (Why are you operating a broken bike?) We were then asked to get off the bike and WALK so he could use the motor to get it up the one short half block of hill. We were sold a craft brew tour starting at 11am, only to learn that the breweries don’t actually open until noon, so our first stop was a restaurant. We were handed menus, and when the server came to take our order, we were told that they could only offer about 1/4 of the beverages to us as we were on a brew cycle tour. Things weren’t off to a good start at all. From here, we used the motor (no point in peddling a broken bike!) to go maybe 1 block to the next stop, Streetcar, which I must say was great. We then zipped over to the last stop, a brewery next to where we started, retracing our steps. We were only able to listen to portions of 2 songs on our playlist over the course of the “day” - next to no time was spent on the bike we were so excited to ride. No where near as much peddle time as advertised. We were also told prior to the tour not to leave the tour early, to ensure the bike gets back to the start. But surprise - at 12:52pm (38 mins before the tour end,) the guide said he was leaving us. No ride back to the starting point. We were left at the brewery. Overall, it was a very disappointing day, and quite frankly, a waste of $44 per person. Our guide was nice though, and did a great job of taking photos of us. I’d prefer not to post this review publicly and rather allow you to respond first. Thanks, Janice Brotzel
