Morning Adventures: Embrace the Wilderness
Start your Mother’s Day weekend with a breath of fresh air and a touch of adventure in North Vancouver. The weather is perfect for a morning exploration, with temperatures ranging from a cool 52.8°F to a comfortable 63.9°F. Begin your day with a visit to Lynn Canyon & Deep Cove—a tour that promises to immerse you in the breathtaking natural beauty of Vancouver’s city limits. The tour kicks off at 10:00 AM and runs until 3:00 PM, offering a perfect blend of nature and tranquility.
Lynn Canyon Park is a must-see, with its 50-meter-high suspension bridge that offers stunning views of the mountain river and waterfall. As you cross, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped into a scene from Jurassic Park, surrounded by towering trees and lush greenery. The Quarry Rock Hike is another highlight, providing panoramic views of Indian Arm and the surrounding mountains. This tour is a nature lover’s dream, offering a serene escape from the urban hustle.
Nature at its best! My tour guide was very friendly and knew his way around. We saw many beautiful nature sites. I enjoyed my time very much.
Afternoon Thrills: Skyward Bound
After a morning of serene exploration, it’s time to elevate your adventure with a visit to Grouse Mountain & Capilano Bridge. Available from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM, this half-day tour is packed with excitement and breathtaking views. The Grouse Mountain Skyride is a highlight, whisking you to the mountain’s summit with unparalleled views of Vancouver, the Pacific Ocean, and the majestic mountains.
The Capilano Suspension Bridge Park offers a thrilling experience with its Cliffwalk and Treektrek. Although the Treektrek is under maintenance, the rest of the park is open for exploration. The Capilano Salmon Hatchery is another fascinating stop, where you can witness the incredible journey of salmon leaping up the river. This tour is a perfect blend of adventure and education, making it a memorable experience for all ages.
This trip is a must! A great trip - I loved seeing the grizzly bears in the sanctuary on Grouse Mountain. The tour guide could have been a little clearer about where to meet after the visit - this resulted in me waiting in the wrong place and returning late to the bus with the tour guide in a bit of a flap. Please make sure guests know exactly where to meet, not just when.
