We wished there was more than two stops! It felt a little short
I really enjoyed wines and the host but was thinking we would be getting a little info about the North End so was disappointed that that was not part of the tour.
The tour was amazing! I learned a lot and Lynn, our wine ambassador, was incredible and very knowledgeable!
The wine tasting experience was informative and just plain fun! We went as a group of three, and enjoyed meeting the other members on the tour. You don't have to be an expert on wine to join in the fun. Our wine expert was very knowledgable, answered all our questions and gave us backgrounds on all the wines we tasted. We will definitely be taking the South End tour in the future!
The space at Artu was challenging with a long table of 11. It was difficult to hear what she was saying and we were rushed out of our space at 5:00 on the dot. I felt that this tour should have been 21/2 hours with the two venues and walk in between. No one in our group was ready to leave.
We thought Roz was a great guide but it wasn’t much of a “tour.” Just a hotel lobby & one restaurant. Would probably not recommend for that reason although we did learn a lot about wine. Two wines at 3 locations would have been preferable, more enjoyable & better in line with the cost. There are certainly plenty of options in the North End!
Melanie was a wonderful , knowledgeable, personable wine goddess. I would have enjoyed a more generous pour. That being said, I have already spent time in a wine store studying the labels and choosing according to the wonderful presentation on Italian wine.
The appetizers were very good but the wine selections were not.
Monica was excellent, her knowledge on wine was amazing! She was able to answer all of our questions. The ambiance at both stop was great and the quantity of wine offered was just right, the food offered was excellent also. This isn't a complaint, although it was sometimes hard to hear Monica, especially at the battery wharf hotel due to guests rolling their suitcases around in the lobby. Though again, everything about this tour was wonderful, I would definitely recommend it!
Joanne, our guide, was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable, and we learned so much! The wines we tasted were delicious, and I have saved the names to be able to purchase them to have at home. It was a great way to spend an afternoon!
I was disappointed that we only went to 2 restaurants and I did not like the astmosphere at Artu and we were rushed out.
The guide was great, a good knowledge of the wines and everything around it. The first location was noisy and it was difficult to always hear what our guide was saying because of a group in the bar that doesn't care. It's interesting to taste wines with various prices but since we were 11 it could have been cool to have a least 1 or 2 higher priced wines. But overall our group was satisfied.
Joann was our guide and we had a fine time. She was very good and personable. We learned about how to taste wines and our group was very friendly. Thanks.
We believed we would visit ~3 restaurants on this tour. After the initial greet at the Battery Wharf Hotel, we walked to only 1 restaurant for the remainder of the tour. Other than that, our tour guide was knowledgeable and gracious.
We went on one of your wine tours last summer and thoroughly enjoyed a nice bowl of pasta at one of 3 stops. This tour was much less wine and food. It was great to be in the North End, but will probably not do another wine tour.
would have liked to have visited more than two places
There could have been some higher quality wines, particularly the reds. It didn’t feel like a tour considering we only went to two places. Was a little disappointed with the quantity of both food and wine. The best part was our fantastic host Lynn who was very passionate and knowledgeable about wine. She answered many questions and was very friendly.
would have liked to have been given a list of the wines we tasted and the guide was rather soft spoken and hard to hear
Very fun day! Roz knows her stuff! Learned so much. Would definitely do again.
Joanne, our wine ambassador, was extremely knowledgeable and personable! Such s fun way to spend a few hours on a Saturday!
Our guide, Roz, was awesome! Having been on a previous tour, I found this tour lacking in small plates to accompany wines (lettuce, bread and cheese was the theme at the 2 stops). With only 2 stops, and one being in a hotel lobby, very little neighborhood experience.
Great tour! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and loved the pairing of cheese and meats.
The wine tour was very fun, and we tasted some great wines. I was a little bit bored with the educational component, as it was a bit basic. I do get that everyone comes in at different levels, though.
The selection of wines was great, we liked the tour as well. Our guide Lisa was also very nice but I felt like she did not know much about wines. I remember the first time I went a couple of years ago there was another guide Lynn and it felt like she knew much more about wine business and differences in wines. But overall very good experience and a lot of fun!
Roz was a terrific wine guide: informative, entertaining and very personable. I learned quite a bit and truly had a wonderful time.
