Highly recommended activity - It’s was great for the beginners. The instructors were nice and experience was amazing. Definitely recommend it.

Brilliant two surf lessons with James. - James was our teacher. My wife and I booked three lessons, we have completed two with James and will take our third in a few days, after some practice. James started us off with the first 30 minutes of the lesson on the sand, learning about waves, the currents, safety and the techniques needed to get up on the board. We practiced our pop-ups on the sand before venturing into the waves. Once in the waves, James had the whole lesson very well organised, starting off taking turns with him in the water, then everybody catching their own waves with James rotating through the group helping us all by pushing us into the waves and then advising us on how to do it better. He was very attentive to his group, gave us good advice on how to get out through the waves, how to deal with the heavier waves etc. James was helping and watching everyone, sharing his time between us all. An excellent experience. Thanks James.

Great experience - It was so much fun! We had two instructors for the whole group and they explained everything really good and kept on giving personal advices. Would book again!

Best lesson ever! - Absolutely amazing experience! I am new to surfing and I learnt so much and rode so many waves! Anthony and Crawf were the best and so helpful, highly recommend!!

Great experience and staff - Roberto and Oa where amazing! not only was a standing on my 3rd attempt successfully, they also helped me with my fear of large waves! it was such a great time I would recommend wearing lots of sunscreen since its very easy to get a super bad sunburn. we had a 1 hour visit and it was more then enough. personally the atmosphere was just so happy and light despite it being a surfing lessen. plus there was barley anyone else there!

First Time Surf Intro - Our instructor, James, treated us exceptionally for our first ever surf session- both my sister & I went with no experience at all. By the end of the 2-hr session James made an introduction to waves & the surf environment & gave enough technical skill to be riding small waves, paddling, & timing catching waves on our own; special mentions of energy conservation / reading waves, rip currents, venturing into bigger waves, local knowledge. James was passionate about surfing & comes from a lifetime of experience. Booking was easy through Tripadvisor on short notice the night before, due to another company having to cancel, & we checked in with our name on the official list in the morning.

Amazing Surf Lessons - I highly recommend Merrick Surf School. The groups are small and it’s great value for money. A special thank you to the surf instructor Oa, who made the lessons very individual and gave everyone individual feedback.

Big group any many... - Big group any many surfers in the water. The instructors could have been more active then they where. But it was trickie waves and not.the best conditions for a first try.

Solid intermediate instruction - I’m an intermediate surfer, looking to pick up good instruction. The coaching here was excellent plus they made it fun. I’d recommend them, for sure.
