Birkat Al Mouz Ruins - The journey continues to the historic village of Birkat Al Mouz. Nestled on the side of a small mountain, this village boasts a stunning oasis with lush banana plantations and various date palms. Visitors can observe the unique Omani irrigation systems known as Aini, Dawoodi, and Ghaily.
Nizwa Souk - Next, the tour proceeds to Nizwa, the former capital of Oman, renowned for its vibrant souk markets. Here, there is an opportunity to explore and purchase a variety of souvenirs, including exquisite Omani silver crafts and other handmade items.
Nizwa Fort Oman - A visit to the Nizwa Fort is planned, with an entry fee of 5 Omani rial. Constructed by Sultan Bin Saif Al Ya’rubi, this is the largest fort in Oman. Following this, the tour will explore Al Hamra, a 400-year-old village in northeastern Oman.
Al Hamra - Al Hamra, located in the Ad Dakhiliyah region of northeastern Oman, is a vibrant town with a fascinating secret. The town developed around an extraordinary abandoned village, with ruins estimated to be between 700-1000 years old, remaining completely untouched.
Misfah al Abriyyin - Misfat Al Abriyeen is a distinctive mountain village situated 1,000 meters above sea level on the foothills surrounding the wilayat of Al Hamra in the Al Dhakhiyla Governorate. The village is named after the Al Abri tribe, originally from Misfat Al Abriyeen and Al Hamra.
Jebel Shams - Jebel Shams, located in northeastern Oman north of Al Hamra town, is renowned as the first place in Oman to witness sunrise due to its towering peak. It is the highest mountain in the Hajar range and the country.
Bahla Fort - Jabreen Castle - Muscat
Bahla Fort - Bahla Fort is one of four historic fortresses at the base of the Jebel Akhdar highlands in Oman and the only UNESCO-listed fort in the country, added in 1987. After extensive restoration, it reopened in 2012, though it lacks comprehensive visitor information.
Jibreen Castle - Constructed in 1675 by Imam Bil-Arab Bin Sultan, Jabreen Castle served as a significant center for learning in astrology, medicine, and Islamic law. Unlike many of Oman’s forts and castles, there is much to explore within its vast battlements, including an intriguing date store near the main entrance. The fruit juice would flow along channels into storage vats, ready for cooking or aiding women in labor.
