Jebel Shams - Towering over the surrounding landscape, the “Mountain of the Sun” (as it is known in Arabic) is the tallest peak in Oman, reaching 3,000 meters above sea level. Its awe-inspiring canyon, often referred to as the Grand Canyon of Oman, slices through the majestic slopes in a stunning display of nature’s raw power.

Desert Tour

Wadi Bani Khalid - Be captivated by one of Oman’s most picturesque wadis, where orchards and plantations encircle rivers and lakes that flow year-round. Swim in refreshing pools filled with pure, clean mountain water, and enjoy the amusing antics of the frogs.

Sur - To truly understand the Omani people, it’s essential to explore their history. Visiting the boatyards in Sur ignites the imagination, evoking images of Oman’s past maritime empire that extended from East Africa to the Indian subcontinent. Witness artisans practicing traditional boat-making techniques that remain in high demand today, and admire the elegant designs of Dhows. All of this is set against the backdrop of Sur, with its coastal forts, vast lagoon, and welcoming residents.

Wadi Shab - Wadi Shab is nature’s own water park. This narrow wadi, with water flowing year-round, features a path that winds up the wadi, passing pools, streams, and occasional waterfalls, leading to a deceptive dead end. For the adventurous, a small keyhole-shaped crack allows visitors to swim through a large boulder that appears to block the wadi’s end. Once through the keyhole, guests will be amazed by the hidden waterfall within a cave.

(Please note that the water pools leading through the keyhole are very deep, so visitors wishing to reach the end of the wadi must be competent swimmers to avoid the risk of drowning. Less confident swimmers can enjoy the pool just before the keyhole without needing to swim through deep waters.)

Bimmah Sinkhole - The final stop before returning to Muscat is the Bimmah Sinkhole. Locals have long marveled at this extraordinary water hole, speculating that it was created by a meteor impact. However, geologists have recently determined that it formed when an underwater cave collapsed at the meeting point of sea and fresh water. Regardless of its origin, it offers a refreshing last dip before the journey home.
