The bustling market offers everything from meat, fish, and fruits, and Nizwa is particularly famous for its silver jewelry, considered the finest in the country. The locals are skilled in crafting Khanjars (curved daggers), known for their unique style and patterns. They also produce copperware, coffee pots, swords, leather goods, and pottery.
- Al Hamra - also referred to as Hamra Al Abryeen, is named after the Al Abri tribe residing there. Al Hamra is home to some of the oldest preserved houses in Oman, built on a slanted rock slab. Many houses feature two stories, with ceilings made from palm beams and fronds, topped with mud and straw.
- Jebel Shams - is the highest peak in Oman, standing at 3,009 meters above sea level. Jebel Shams, or Sun Mountain, is situated in the Wilayat of Al-Hamra.
