Amazing family adventure of history & mountains - We headed to Nizwa from our dessert camp. Amed took us to the Souk. It’s very tourist focused, but a feels safe and easy to walk around, and is good place to buy a few small souvenirs. And if you like Dates you’ll be taken to THE shop to buy them! After that Amer guided us around the Fort. It’s been majorly restored and is really interesting and well preserved. He really explained things well for the boys (aged 11 &13). It took us just over an hour to go around which was perfect. After that we drove to Alhamra and al took in some scenic views. We headed up to Mesfat Alabreyeen and enjoyed a wonderful around the beautiful old lanes and buildings. Our final spot for today was Jabel Shams the great mountain and canyon. The view from the top is breathtaking - and Amer reliably took some fantastic photos of / for us! Staying at a friendly busy more developed camp style hotel called Sama Hight Resort. It’s very clean & comfortable. Amer has been a brilliant guide, so kind, calm, fun and informative. He’s been wonderful with the boys. We’ve really appreciated him looking after us, gently suggesting ideas for us to try and taking amazing photos so we can always remember our amazing adventures in Oman.

Day 4: Jabal Shams / Al Hamra & Misfah Al Arbyeen Old Village Tours - Day 4: After doing the memorable Balcony Walk at Jebel Shams, our guide Aziz drove us to visit the old villages of Al Hamra and Misfah Al Arbyeen on our way back to Muscat. Aziz accompanied us on a leisurely walk thru the old village, explaining to us the traditional water irrigation system that brought water down from the mountains to the village farms. We had a delicious late lunch along the high way where there was pizza and burgers. We reached back Muscat in the late afternoon and bidded farewell to Aziz. Overall it was a nice way to end the trip back in the city where we rested our tired legs and prepare to leave Oman the next morning. We recommend Oman Landscape Tours for anyone venturing to this beautiful country for the first time. The travel itinerary was well planned, the private car we got was a very comfortable Toyota Landcruiser, and the hotels they booked were mostly luxurious for the price we paid for. Most importantly, Omani people are friendly and their landscape is out of this world with a wide variety of things to do. If anyone is transitting Dubai or Muscat, he/she should definitely consider at least a few days stay to check out the beautiful country of Oman.

Oman in 2.5 days possible only with Said! - We stayed three days with our guide Said Al kiyumi. From pick up at the airport, a day at wadi Shab and sink hole, a day in and around Nizwa and half a day in Muscat before dropping off at the airport. Fantastic experience, professionalism, safe driver and quality tour guide. We were fine and recommend the tour operator and Said.

Excellent Tour - I had a full day trip to Nizwa. Abdul Majeed picks me up punctually from my hotel. Then we drove towards Nizwa. We visited first the Nizwa souk, and I did try the Omani bread with honey and cheese and karak. It was delicious. Next, we went to Nizwa fort, then after we drove towards Al Hamra and Misfah Al Arbyeen. Abdulmajeed taught me about the history and culture of Oman. We also stopped at a local restaurant to have lunch. I enjoyed the tour with him. I highly recommend Abdul Majeed and Oman Landscape Tours!

Fun historical tour - Really enjoyed this historical tour of Nizwa and the fort, including the snake-like road up the mountain to see the village. It was well-organized and the guide was always ready with more information or an amusing anecdote. Highly recommended.
