Would recommend this tour. - This was an excellent tour and was made even better by our guide, Ali. We started at 5.30am to catch the goat market which was definitely the highlight!!! Worth getting up early for. We made the mistake of doing this tour the day after we arrived late at night - possibly better after a good nights sleep. The mountains and villages were fascinating and were brought to life by Ali.

Fahad has it excellent... - Fahad has done an excellent job of making the daily programme varied, structured and at the same time pleasantly flexible. The individual program items were sensibly coordinated and provided a coherent overall picture of the most important attractions along the itinerary. He has responded to our questions at all times attentively and in detail. He managed to convey information clearly, understandably and at the same time interestingly. You could feel that he likes to share his knowledge and enjoy bringing his guests closer to the land and people. His friendly, open and communicative manner was consistently pleasant and also makes him very personable. This created a relaxed atmosphere in which you felt in good hands. We really enjoyed the day together and now feel well informed about our destination. Overall a very good guide, which we can recommend at any time.

Get your guide, mountain tour and Nizwa breathtaking - This day trip with Get your Guide was great. Were picked up on time at the hotel. It was a nice drive to Nizwa, but very rewarding. What a special landscape. Arriving in Nizwa we experienced a small part of the cattle market and then to the Souq, this is different from what we are used to but definitely worth visiting. A colorful whole. Everything is within walking distance here so we continued our trip to the fort. Then by car into the mountains. Wow! You just have to do this trip. Definitely no regrets afterwards, but very tired😅

Amazing day in Oman - This was a very insightful day. Early start and late finish but can recommend this trip to the old capital of Nizwa with its lovely souks, fresh date tasting, circular fort and Imam castle, then the spectacular Green Mountain and lush banana gardens at the base. Our guide, Ali, made it a special day.

A trip well worth taking. - A very interesting, informative and packed day. Nizwa is fully of history and it's worth taking the time to walk round all of the souq as well as the village if you get a chance - it was too hot to walk the village when we went so we instead took one of the guided (golf-buggy) tours which was worth the extra expense. The souq is so full of wonders that you could spend a whole day just discovering everything, but our guide Ahmed, ensured we saw the highlights. I can thoroughly recommend the Date centre (if you like dates and tahini of course) as well as the Omani Sweets; the range of spices and herbs is a sensory delight as well. The fort and castle are brilliantly done with some good exhibitions which should interest most people and there's enough gory history about traps to keep even the youngest enthused. The trip up to Jebel Akhdar has some wonderful scenery so just taking the time to enjoy it is worth it. The village itself is small but beautiful and standing just above and looking over the valley is breathtaking. If you manage to visit at the right time, the rose museum is worthwhile but do ensure you take you're lunch as food in the area is limited to large (more expensive) restaurants which limits your time doing other things; we took a picnic which worked perfectly. The final visit to Brikat Al Moz was a lovely end to the day and a chance to dip feet in the Falaj and have a fish-pedicure; a small detour to the Date plantation and Banana coffee shop finished everything off nicely. Whilst we went second week in April which is very hot in the lowlands Ahmed managed to shape the tour so we could enjoy as much as possible without becoming overwrought. His general knowledge and little interesting tit-bits of information added immeasurably to a really great trip.

Very nice guide - We like our guide, Fahad. He is not very talkative, but very considerate. He literally climbed every steps with us, take care of our safety. He also showed us nice local restaurant. We have a great trip, and close the day very late. Appreciate Fahad's efforts to make the trip unforgettable.

Wonderful Day Trip Visiting Nizwa & the Mountains :) - My Aunt & I wanted to learn more about Omani culture & history & to explore the Nizwa area & mountains. This experience was exactly what we were seeking! Our guide, Ali, was hospitable & extremely knowledgeable about all of the areas/attractions we visited & was happy to answer any questions that we had (there were lots!). First, we visited Nizwa (the old Capital City, before Muscat). The atmosphere was pretty lively & we got to experience the cattle market, date market & souks, most of which were housed in traditional Omani buildings. We also visited Nizwa Fort & Castle, which was fascinating & offered incredible views from the top! Next, we visited Jabal Akhdar - learned about the irrigation systems in the mountains & the fruits & flowers that grow there (pomegranates & roses). The pink Omani roses are the key ingredient used in making rosewater in the area (which is reportedly the best rosewater in the world!). The views from the terraces were out of this world! Next, we visited Birkat Al Mouz ruins, which was fascinating & ramshackle & like going back in time! The area is surrounded by date palm trees - which makes for a beautiful & peaceful setting - the perfect place to cool down from the desert heat! A thoroughly enjoyable experience - would highly recommend. Thank you Ali :)

Outstanding day tour, a wonderful insight into Oman with Ali. - Outstanding full day tour. Ali was a fabulous guide, knowledgeable, engaging and passionate about Oman. Ali flexed the time based on our interests, including suggesting a quick (delicious) sandwich lunch to save time as we had spent extra time at the nizwa fort. He helped us navigate the souks (including the goat) to emerge with dates and spices. A safe driver, navigating the steep road up to jabal akthar and mainroads, we spent the journey talking about all aspects of Omani life. We loved the dramatic lookout spots, crumbling old villages (what a shame), terraces of roses, clever irrigation channels, and the date plantation. Alison quietly fitted in a mosque visit before taking us to the airport via a final sunset lookout across the valley. What a brilliant day. Thank you, Ali.
