• Minneriya National Park - The safari begins from the hotel in Sigiriya at 14:00. A safari jeep will collect guests from the hotel and transport them to Minneriya National Park, with the adventure commencing around 15:00.

The park features a mix of landscapes and vegetation, including wetlands, agricultural land, rocky outcrops, forests, and scrublands. This variety supports a diverse range of wildlife and birds. Visitors might spot a crocodile or, with some luck, the elusive grey slender loris. In the morning, a small herd of deer may be seen near the Minneriya reservoir. Planning a safari in August, September, or October offers the opportunity to witness the ‘Elephant Gathering,’ where over 150 elephants congregate from surrounding areas for this annual spectacle.

The evening safari is ideal for observing the park, allowing guests to watch elephants bathing and various bird species returning to their nests as the day ends.

The tour concludes with a return to the hotel by 19:00.
