Th best way to discover the Mekong delta - Great experience with Susan. We spent 3 days/2 nights.
Susan made us do lots of different things : cooking vietnamese food, cycling around and discovering khmer pagoda or a local market, visiting a floating market in Can Tho with a local breakfast, factories (rice noodles, chocolate, poprice…), a fish farm, and exploring the jungle where Vietcongs lived during the war.
Bao, our tour guide, was really good to explain all we had to know about the places we visited.
It was the best way to discover the Mekong delta in 2 days.
What’s more, Susan’place is peacefull and quiet. The room is simple but clean and welcoming. And the meals are delicious and abundant.
We highly recommend !

A wonderful food and cultural experience in the Mekong - Our family of 5 had the most wonderful stay at Susan’s. We stayed three nights and had a two day tour. Susan has curated an amazing Mekong experience encompassing food, farming, culture and history as well as some exercise! We also had time to enjoy her luxurious pool and massage chair. Having some home cooked tasty and well balanced meals (with fresh fruits and vegetables from her garden) was also fantastic.

Unforgettable experience allowed you to experience first-hand the wonderful culture and authenticity of Vietnam. - We spent a day in the company of Susan who accompanied us by boat, bicycle and on foot to live an incredible sensory and visual experience, allowing us to touch and live firsthand experiences of daily life shared with locals. We had breakfast on a boat on the waters of the Mekong buying directly products from vendors’ boats, visited family-run noodle companies, strolled through a garden with the strangest and most surprising tropical fruits we have ever seen, biked with her in the alleys and streets on the banks of the Mech Hong to discover incredible landscapes that even the best guides could not suggest. It was an incredible experience, Susan was the perfect guide for a day we will never forget.

The most amazing experience - We discovered Susan through a blog we were reading to prepare our Vietnam trip. We did two tours through her : one with Nhat to Cai Rang, a family rice noodle factory and a cocoa farm, with a nice stroll through a beautiful canal, and a one-day trip with Susan to Xe Quit and beautiful Co son islet. We loved everything ! We got a local experience, discovered how they ate lunch (yummiest lunch ever !), learnt to make traditional cake and chocolate, went to a fish farm .. The kids had a blast and so did we. Our guides were thoughtful and interesting, and we love every second of it. We couldn't recommend Susan enough !!

Very authentic tour with great guides - I did the 2D/1N tour.
Susan's Homestay is an amazing place to stay in the Mekong Delta. Susan, the owner, helped with organising my bus from HCMC and picked me up at the bus stop.
The homestay is beautiful with some amazing gardens and a pool. For the dinner we even used the fresh veggies from her garden!
On the first day I did the bicycle tour with Susan, which was great. Such a beautiful area and you get to experience local culture as there are not many tourists in this village. In the evening I could help cooking dinner which was also a lot of fun. Susan is a very lovely person, sharing a lot about her life and culture. Her daughter is also a fun person to hang out with :)
The next day I did the floating market tour with other people who also stayed at Susans homemstay. As a solo traveller it's always nice to have other people on your tour, I really enjoyed that! Our guide was Ken and he did such a good job at showing us around. He speaks REALLY good English, answered all the questions, got us a lot of local food to try and shared a lot of information about the area. It felt like he truly enjoys what he's doing and that's very special in a guide (and person).
I only stayed for one night but wished I had more time. I recommend at least two nights or even more.

Can Tho Unique Homestay - We had a wonderful stay at Susan’s Homestay. She and her colleague, Bao, made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The countryside bike ride was a highlight, and we also enjoyed the company of a lovely Australian couple who joined us. Afterward, we cooled off with a swim in the pool, and Susan provided fresh coconut water — the perfect touch.
Cooking dinner with Susan was such a fun and delicious experience, and she was very considerate about my low-salt diet, which I must follow closely as I can become quite ill. We loved learning more about Vietnamese culture, and Bao made the experience even richer by sharing some of his own personal stories. It was also special to see Susan’s mother helping with Susan’s daughter, her granddaughter.
Our room was comfortable and clean. The early morning tour of the floating village with Boa was unforgettable. Susan and Bao truly love sharing their home city, and it shows. Highly recommend — such a great experience!
