• Long Son Pagoda - Also known as “Chua Phat Trang” or “Long Son Co Tu,” this is the largest pagoda in Nha Trang city. Built in 1886 and renovated multiple times, Long Son features unique statues on Trai Thuy hill, including a 1.6-meter-tall, 700kg bronze Buddha in the main hall, a 17-meter-long reclining Buddha, and a 31-meter-high seated Buddha.
• National Oceanographic Museum of Vietnam - Established by the French in 1923, the Nha Trang Institute of Oceanography is home to Vietnam’s most diverse marine life. The Museum of Oceanography, integral to the Institute’s nearly century-long history, is housed in a grand French-colonial building in southern Nha Trang. It features around 60,000 jars of preserved marine specimens, stuffed birds and sea mammals, and displays of local boats and fishing artifacts. While there are tanks with reef fish and sharks, the rescued seals and marine turtles are kept in unfortunately small enclosures.
