A memorable experience shaped by genuinity and kindness - I am beyond happy with my experience with Da Nang Outdoor Adventures. In the morning, I decided to walk up to their office and ask if I could join a surfing lesson. Despite me coming last minute Trang, the lovely girl working there, made some calls to ensure I could join a morning lesson that was just starting and even drove me to the beach that was a 15-minute drive away! Understandably most companies would have told me to book in advance or come back later but this experience made me feel valued as a customer on a whole different level. The lesson itself was amazing, everyone received individual guidance and tips according to their skill level and I managed to stand up very quicky! It is currently winter in Danang and I got very cold during the lesson but afterwards the instructor made some tea to warm me up. The whole team’s kindness, eagerness to help and genuinity made this experience especially memorable for me. Any company can provide good surf lessons, but Da Nang Outdoor Adventures goes out of their way to make you feel valued as an individual, which is why I recommend them to everyone! I will forever remember my first ever surfing lesson and the kindness of these people, once again thank you a million times!

Great communication pre-booking, informative and well-attended! - My partner and I were looking to surf in Da Nang, and looked through couple of different options and decided to go here. Reason it being one of us have experience in surfing, and my partner was a beginner but has basic movements due to knowing how to windsurf, so we didn’t want the “intro” classes but something that would help us get better and to receive some info potentially for later rental. We signed up for a group lesson, but ended up just being us two. The waves were super small that day but Owen, the instructor/owner were very helpful in choosing the right board for us two given our level, what size board we usually ride considering our body size/condition. I saw some negative reviews about carrying the board to the beach but I feel that’s a standard thing (I’ve taken lessons/rentals around the world). I rented a 7 footer, decent condition, perfect for the tiny wave for the day. My partner got great advices too to help him get started in surfing. Owen himself is a surfer and is considerate of different styles of surfing and what you need to learn in order to step up in each level. Since his native language is English , there also is no worries about throngs being lost in translation whether that be via messages or in person. He brought tons of water for us to the beach, hot shower post surf, and gave us great food suggestions for later. He also takes gopro footages that will help you assess what you did right/wrong after, too. When we come back to Da Nang, which we definitely plan to, we’ll def rent from Owen :)

Great refresher and tutorial - It was a great experience. I learned a lot I improved my technique. Especially about balancing and most importantly about the geometry of the pop-up like where to place your hands and the sequence. I have been doing it wrong for so long lol. It was a great refresher course and I learned a lot. I would definitely recommend it for beginners and even intermediate to advanced. The water temperature is nice and the conditions were good. Sandy bottom easy access to the water and the beaches in danang are a really nice place to surf.

Great way to try surfing! - This is a great way and place to try surfing for the first time, the beach is just fine sand, waves are not too big and there are no jellyfish or anything dangerous! And the instructor was super friendly and welcoming

Great first time experience - Loved this experience. Never tried before and staff explained basics with demo plus one to one tuition at times. I made need a lot of practice but found this great fun 🏖️💜

Great!!! - Best teacher ever!!! If I didn’t come with my kids, I would have had tried, but it was difficult with my 9 year old. I am waiting for the photos and videos!! 🫶🏻

Not recommended - No one showed up at the surf shop when supposed to. No one answered phone or messages. So no lesson for me. They offered to go another day when they finally responded. But I didn’t feel like it anymore because the shop was dirty and disgusting on the outside. Got a refund.

Bad experience . No recomendable - It was a bad experience. We canceled surfing and we were not the only ones . The suits were dirty and very old . The instructor was strange . We came to the office and they said we had to go to another office and we took a cab as it was far away. The second office was terrible, very dirty and old. Wetsuits in the sand they are not disinfected or washed . We are sorry for the wasted time and money , we wanted to get a surfing lesson . When your vacation is not big. You have planned everything , it's a shame when time is wasted .
